2. AT THE END OF THE LESSON, YOU ARE EXPECTED
TO:
1. familiarize the procedure for installing one lamp controlled by two
three-way and four-way Switch using rigid non-metallic conduit actual
wiring diagram;
2. illustrate the materials needed for installing one lamp controlled by
two three-way and four-way switches; and
3. appreciate the importance of familiarizing the procedure for
installing one lamp controlled by two three-way and four-way switches
3. PROCEDURE IN INSTALLING ONE
LAMP CONTROLLED BY TWO 3-WAY
AND 4-WAY SWITCHES USING RIGID
NON-METALLIC CONDUIT
6. 3. MOUNT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER, UTILITY, AND
JUNCTION BOXES TO THEIR PROPER POSITION, USING
TWO SCREWS PER BOX.
7. 4. MEASURE AND CUT THE REQUIRED LENGTH OF THE
RIGID NON-METALLIC CONDUIT AND INSTALL THEM
USING CLAMPS.
8. 5. PREPARE THE REQUIRED LENGTH OF THE CONDUCTOR. IT
MAY BE IF THE LENGTH OF THE TUBING PLUS AN AMPLE
ALLOWANCE AT BOTH ENDS FOR SPLICING. INSTALL THEM
ON THE PIPE.
Note: Allowance must be
at least 150 mm (6 in) long
at both ends measured
from the ends of the
tubing.
9. 6. PREPARE THE CONDUCTOR FOR TERMINATION. STRIP OFF
AT LEAST 5 MM OF INSULATION FOR TERMINALS AND AT
LEAST 2 INCHES OF INSULATION FOR WIRE SPLICING.
10. 7. MAKE ALL NECESSARY CONNECTIONS AS REQUIRED
IN THE WIRING DIAGRAM.
11. 8. TEST THE CIRCUIT FOR GROUND SHORT OR OPEN
WIRING USING MULTI-TESTER.
14. APPLICATION ACTIVITIES:
GROUP 1 AND 2:
Draw the actual connection diagram of the wiring installation discussed
earlier.
GROUP 3 AND 4:
Perform the installation of one lamp controlled by 3 way and 4 way
switches.
GROUP 5 AND 6:
Write the steps and procedures of installing one lamp controlled by 3 way
and 4
way switches.
