“BUSUU“
Busuu is one of application that can be use as guide in learn language. Busuu
is a community based language learning site, offers a system of games, groups,
exercises and other free resources for learning Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian,
Portuguese, Germany, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and
English. Before Busuu known in a app version, Busuu can find in social network to
learn language namely, www.busuu.com. The most useful resource in Busuu is the
flashcard exercise, which build vocabulary by playing audio in user’s foreign
language of choice to match a displayed image, and how well they categorized the
vocabulary into sections like: “Positive feelings”, “Adventure sports”, “In the
kitchen”, and “The Job Interview.” It made that much easier to find vocabulary and
phrases that were relevant to what I needed to learn. It’s great that they’re not only
able to incorporate it into dialogue but also giving you a chance to write about a
particular subject using the vocabulary you learned. Also, you can chat directly with
a native speaker, record your voice, review what you learned and even have
printable content and podcasts as well, in writing exercises which receive instant
corrections from native speakers in the busuu community, audio recordings of each
vocabulary item, plus example sentences and dialogues to place vocabulary and
grammar in context, voice recording exercises to drill pronunciation and allow
students to insert their voice into a dialogue and get feedback from native speakers,
but if you want it, you must get a premium version for get it all the version, because
some of the material not free. Busuu teaches beginner (A1, A2) to intermediate level
(B1,B2) for 12 languages. Every level offers 3 freeware course and premium course.
The example in using Busuu application are;
The first, you must login and choose the language like English.

2. Then, if you already choose the language that want to learn, for example English.
You can begin for step Beginner A1, which is A1 has 22 lesson.
It has 6 reviewing in every 4 lesson, for example, you can see in picture above the
right one. Then, if you already finish to learn all of the lesson in A1, you can follow
the test to get the certificate but it only for the premium version. After that, we can
continue the material in A2,B1, and B2. It is like the A1, you must have a premium
version.
For example, if we have choose the material that want to learn.

3. Then, listen the material and follow it. Read the grammar tip. Repeat again until we
are understand.
After that we will give a test, such as match the vocabulary that is true or false, busuu
asks you to choose the correct answer from 3 possibilities, organize the word into a
sentence, tap the correct word(s) to complete t he sentence, complete the sentence by
typing in the box, etc.

4. And the other test is say word, and your pronunciation must be clear so that your
words can be detected and your answer will be right.
Then, the other test is fill the blank that before we was listened.

5. And also in writing, we write the response that sentence already prepare. And the
answer will be corrected by the native speaker or busuu community. It’s great to have
your writing corrected that way you can stay motivated learning language.
That all review about Busuu application. I think this application is good. It
offers many experiences in learning language. It definitely helped me to learn some
new things in learning English by using Busuu. It can improve our skills like,
speaking, listening, writing, pronunciation to be better. For beginner, it is worth with
use the freeware version, but if for the advanced learners would use the premium
version to get significant value.
