Portfolio project
1. I am a supportive, loving, organized
“A” student, secure Godly woman and
I am creating harmony and peace in
my family
2. Power of Words- This video made a lasting impression on
me. Just a slight change of words can change an entire
community and how they saw this blind man. It reminds
me to use my words wisely and always put a positive spin
on things.
Service Project- A big portion of my heart is dedicated to
serving others. This assignment was fun and enlightening.
To think about what it means to serve others without getting
anything in return.
Putting Principles into Practice- A short 9 min video can
change the way you view learning. Dr. Chew made me look
at learning and specifically deep processing in a new light. I
am better learner after learning and applying these
techniques.
3. Journal 11- I loved visualizing my future. What a great way to
truly set your goals and accomplish them. Being able to use all my
senses, really brought my vision to life! I will make this dream a
reality.
Journal 13- Writing down everything you have to accomplish was
over whelming at first. Once I was able to look at and organize
them, it was more structure than ever. It gave me a new way of
organizing my time!
Journal 29- This journal really allowed me to dig deep and truly
address my feelings. The writing about the death of my father as
very therapeutic for me. I learn more every time I talk about it.
Taking the opportunity to visualize and write down my son’s
birth experience was just joyous. He was just the best thing that
ever happened to me!
4. My favorite module was definitely module 3.
Where Friedrich Nietzsche stated “He who has
a why to live for can endure any how.”
I now understand how to visualize and dream
big and my why, is my family whom I love
dearly.
DAPPS goal setting has taught me how to set
achievable goals and achieve them.
Affirmations- I have many that I read to myself
daily!
5. Deep processing- why would you learn any other way.
I can make more connections between things known
and things learned than ever before. My neural
transmitters are in overdrive.
How to visualize- To relax picture it and make believe
it is happening today! Smell those roses while you
using all five senses. Always feel every good emotion
while doing this as well.
How to deal with stress- I get overwhelmed easily and
learning to breath and relax, before reacting with help
me in test taking. To look at a situation from another
perceptive before getting upset.
