Descriptive Essay About My Funeral
Today was funeral day. My mom's funeral. It was a dark October thursday, the clouds were brewing a storm. A slight breeze disturbed my neck. My
uncomfortable suit sleeves bellowed in the cold breeze.. I hadn't felt any emotions since the day of her death, which was weeks ago, almost as if my
emotion is grey. It was warm then, as my mind was too. Nowadays, up until today, my mind has been a dark fog, as if my mind was released into the
sky, darkening everyone's day, arriving at my mom's funeral or just to cuddle up with their friends andfamily in front of a warm crackling fire, telling
the stories of their childhood and how times were better. Not me, my dad usually ignored me and he only worked on managing my mom's fortune.
Yeah. My mom's...show more content...
It was rather calming, even in this time of darkness. I stumbled and started to kick my dress shoes off. I was drenched by now, and I literally had
nothing to lose. I feel like a dark abyss. Am I making this to dark? Should I crack a couple jokes about my newly dead mom? My mourning now
depressed father, cooped up with so much work of my dead moms fortune he has no time to even properly to go through the coping stages of losing
someone? Yeah, my life is great! Might as well make fun of everything that's wrong with me. Isn't that what most comedians do? They always end up
killing themselves. Now that's funny! Okay, it 's really not, I'm just a cruel teenager going through some stuff. I'm dark and sarcastic, dead mom or
not. Why am I going on about this? I'm running out of breath, but I'm not sweaty or anything, it is now turning dark and colder, my blurred vision now
getting worse and worse. The street lights turn on, showing big orange blurry bulbs down the cobbled road.
My bare feet pattered against the wet stones making little splashed by step. I wonder how long I have been running, for I wasn't out of breath.
Which was weird, for the only physical thing I ever usually do is shoot hoops and longboard. I was nowhere near out of breath, which felt kinda
good. My feet were cramping terribly but I proceed to round a dark corner. This was when the beginning of my short life changed

Descriptive Essay About Beauty
I think our minds are obsessed with beauty. We envy those we cannot be. We strive to have this picture perfect life, or something close to it. When I
was younger, I was never out going or the kid that talked all the time. That just wasn't me. I never thought of myself as beautiful. I thought I was pretty,
but in my mind, to be truly beautiful, one must possess other characteristics beyond the physical realm. To be exquisite, perfectly, and wholeheartedly
beautiful, one must be: independent, self–confident, and happy. I didn't see this in myself at the time, but how could I? I was still in elementary
school. There is one woman, however, who I considered being one of the most beautiful beings. She is partially the reason I am the person I am...show

I hated shopping. But this lady with her textured turtleneck always mesmerized me with how powerfully she presented herself. She was always so
polished and prim. I never remember a Sunday where she looked like the overworked mother, or the stress ridden woman trying to keep her life
together. No, she was quite the opposite. She was in complete control of her life.
Years passed by, I no longer saw any of her kids. Her husband, who was quite obviously older than her, began to deteriorate. He had surgery that left
him unable to walk without assistance. She was always there, guiding him, smiling at him, helping him into the car. She maintained the same calm,
loving style towards him, before and after. At this point, I was quite a bit older. I understood death. I could tell just by looking at him, that his time
was coming to an end; anyone could. But she paid no attention to that. She appeared older than before. Not in sense that she was dying, but she
seemed like she had accomplished whatever she wanted in life. She seemed serene, they both did. It was in those last few months they had together
that I saw a couple truly in love. They were happy. I've never seen anything like that before. I don't think that people genuinely understand their
feelings for a person until they've lived without him or her or they know that that time is coming. She never once showed any sadness or sorrow. She
remained as caring and as gentle as ever.
He did eventually pass. She

Descriptive Essay About A Hero
When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies
between different people; however, my definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway when
things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero"
the only person who comes to my mind is my cousin Cassy. Cassy fits my own personal description of a hero; she is selfless, brave, and strong.
She doesn't run away when things get tough and most importantly, she looks out for others no matter what the situation is. What is a hero to you?
On September 24th of 2017, my parents, along with my sister and I, walked into my grandma's house around three o'clock in the afternoon. My
aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo,
everybody looked at one another awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how long my aunt was
going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to
Fargo from the farm place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and then finally blurted out the
sentence that nobody ever wants to hear come from a loved

Descriptive Essay On Anxiety
Generalized anxiety is a disorder in which a person has normally tense, uneasy, and feels very on edge more often than not. I have always had a bit
on anxiety with being near and/or around people, I have never felt completely comfortable around anyone and often feel uneasy and nervous about
everything, but during my last year of middle school my anxiety got tremendously worse with the stress of school. During my 8th grade year I was
going to a college prep academy that came with an incredible amount of stress for a thirteen–year–old. As the school year went on I would get more
and more homework and assignments. On average, I would come home with about four hours of homework that would be due the next day,
eventually the stress and overwhelming amount of work became hard to handle and I started becoming more and more worrisome and
uncomfortable in public. As the school year went on I just became extremely nervous and uncomfortable about everything, scared to move in front of
people, scared to get up and sharpen a pencil, my hands were more often than not sweaty and gross feeling which just made me even more nervous
because what if for some reason someone would need to touch my hand. I felt uncomfortable around friends that I had known and gone to school with
for years. I eventually stopped going out at all and just stayed home, I wouldn't go out to eat with my parents nor would I go out with friends or
anything. I started becoming very secluded from everyone. Eventually my

Descriptive Essay About Sadness
Sadness. Some people will say they learned how to drive this summer, or they learned how to waterski. But I learned what sadness is.
My mum and I spent two weeks with my grandfather and grandmother this summer. I knew my grandfather's health was failing. I knew he wasn't
doing well. But I had absolutely no conception of how bad it was. He couldn't take ten steps without yelping in pain. He couldn't do much of anything
by himself. Those two weeks were spent helping my grandparents any way I possibly could, carrying my grandfather 's walker places, and playing
endless games of scrabble with him.

My eyes were clouded over and I just kept hearing the words that the principal had said over and over again. He had passed away. I didn't even know
him well, but the idea that he could just be gone terrified me. Now it was happening to my grandfather.
"How can someone just be gone?" I pleaded with my mum, but probably more with God than her. "How can someone be here one day, and then
gone the next?' Tears began to fill my eyes and cloud my vision. "How is it that someone dies when their body fails them? How is it that one day
Grandad will be gone, and I won't be able to talk to him anymore, or call him, or play scrabble with him? It's just not fair!"
I collapsed into tears while my mum pulled over. We just sat there for a while, both hugging each other andcrying our eyes out. There was so much
sadness in me. It was like a black hole, swallowing me up from the inside. It was an intense form of grief that I had never felt before. I would cry and
feel my whole body shaking, tears coming out of my eyes, but my soul also gasping inside of me, trying to throw out that black hole, but instead getting
consumed.
My mum's face streamed with tears. "I feel the same way," she whispered before falling into heart wrenching sobs, the same sobs that had been
haunting me for months, as she had been crying over her dad's

Descriptive Essay On A Trip
The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has
been an exhausting yet enjoyable time running around with my classmates in the airport. Being in a different country and experiencing a new culture
first hand was astonishing and gave me a new outlook of the beauties in the world. From Montone, Florence, Venice, andRome I had the ultimate trip in
Italy. The food, language, and culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of drinking wine
with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was
breathtaking to see how many free artworks was there for the public. After being in Italy for about a month I can see why people are attracted and
want to live in Italy. Montone is a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly town. I enjoyed the walk to town, the covenant, Aries CafГ©, the tavern
restaurant, and the town's people. I had the best cappuccino and coffee at Aries and I loved every dish I ate at the tavern restaurant. The view from
the covenant was beautiful and works perfectly for a painting. Getting around town was easy with everyone being so nice and helpful. The piazza was
a great place to hang out because of friendly the environment was and it was the main spot in town where everyone stayed. Getting a chance to draw

Descriptive Essay About Myself
I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide
some basic background information on myself and talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better understanding of why
I am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself because If I had been born under any different circumstances or grew up any
differently I would be a different person than I am today. I was born inAberdeen Scotland but raised in Fort Bend County Texas. Aberdeen and Fort

interesting to go over to other people's houses and hear them communicating in another language. On top of all of this meeting different people has
also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think
differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them.
Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. I have always had access to anything I
needed and for that I have extreme gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such
good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I
did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and
break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another
Opportunity I am grateful for is the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents has signed me up

Three Descriptive Research Methods Essay
One of of three methods used for descriptive research is the case study. The case study method is the oldest form of research used in psychology
today. To help you better understand what case studies are I would recommend you think of an individual person case. Case study is when someone
studies one person to explain things that happen for all of us. Basically applying the outcome to all people ; one representing all. Case studies will
describe your behavior. In present day we have noticed that although the individual cases may be accurate, it only applies to that one person. There
will always be a conflict of interest because what may happen to one person does not necessarily happen to the next. For example you may say that after

This type of research gathers information from a large group of people. It will be not go into depth as much as the case study might and involves
many cases. As an example think of making you own survey and distributing it out to various amounts of people, gathering the information and
conducting you hypothesis. We are constantly asked to participate in surveys whether its an internet advertisement or a class handout from the
college you attend. When asking you question you have to be careful as to how you word the question. The words you choose may influence a
participant to lean toward a certain side. You may sound biased toward one issue which will effect you survey and hypothesis. Using random
sampling allows researcher to have a fair representation of the subjects under study. Every person has an equal chance of participating. I would use this
method with very larger groups of people. Ex. school. The last from of research would be naturalistic observation. Basically watching and recording the
behavior of different subjects in the natural environment.Much of the reality shows today could be considered a form of naturalistic observation.
Pending on how much the program actually interferes with the subject , they allow for an interesting hypothesis. This research will describe the
behavior of an subject. Now that we have the information from the research we can evaluate the differences and similarities. When the research reveals

various photos of friends and family. The walls and ceiling are white and the floor is carpeted, with a matrix of various grey rectangles. There is a

A Descriptive Essay : The Man
The Man The green grass has nothing on his beautiful, emerald eyes. The soft smiles he gives me in the hallways light up the world. A face like
heaven, but with a jawline so sharp it could cut your fingers. The way his muscles tense when I rub his arms after a long, sweaty day of baseball is

become comforting. His smell is very unique, just like a cozy house on a winter day. A mammoth's heart is non comparable to how big of a heart
he has for the ones he loves. I get a delightful tingly sensation when his manly, but modulated voice speaks to me on the phone at night. No
Channing Tatum can compare how handsome he looks in my eyes. The flirtation winks he gives me while walking to the dugout when he sees me
looking at him. When I look at him I see a beautiful person inside and out. The way he laughs, you'd think we were at a comedy show. Hearing him
laugh until he's crying is the best feeling you get in your body that just brightens your day and all you can do is just stare and admire him. The
warm, soft hugs he gives is like laying in a freshly made bed after everything has been washed. His eyes dilate every time he looks at me and you
can just see the happiness in his eyes. When he holds my hand in stores it's like having my own personal guardian angel taking me towards the right

Descriptive Essay On Poverty
People are dying every minute because of this terrible disease. No antidotes have been found to eliminate it. Poverty is like an epidemic with no
antidote affecting the entire world. It has already killed billions of people, and will continue killing unless we do something to stop it. Have you ever
thought what living in poverty is like? Seeing a shocking picture in which people were trying to survive gave me a whole different perspective. That
image showed me one of the poorest areas of the planet where people were living under despicable conditions. They were working in sweatshops,
collecting garbage and living in broken down huts in order to survive. A polluted river passes across from their humble homes, causing
incomparable complication to their lives. I could observe the terrible conditions in which this people are working, fishing and collecting garbage.
Not only pollution is shown in this photo, above of the photograph a bridge could be observed. I imagine the noise, and the dust that this little detail
brings to their lives. That photograph made me feel angry at politicians because they could do a better job helping the needy. Since they were almost
dying, I felt sad for the circumstances they live in. A sense of admiration for the way they are able to survive, gave me the strength to fight against
this global scourge. The author of this picture is trying to convey a message, showing us poverty in all its faces and inviting us to be part of his fight

So, there I sat, seat G4 on the train headed to nowhere. I didn't have a destination; I never really did. I guess that's just the type of person I was,

found myself lounging in the same spot drinking hot cocoa. People always said that hot chocolate "was only for kids" but I never got that; I had a

of the people on the train were older women with their children, but next to me was a man. His eyes, like mine, matched his hair in blackness.
However creepy, I always found this feature refreshing, in the way that one finds a black cat. I named this man Frank and created a story for him
when another man caught my eye. It was his coat. It was an expensive Ted Baker peacoat which was impressive for how young he was. I worked
out frequently and could tell by his body that he had been skipping leg day. His chest, however, was ridiculously huge, almost as if it wasn't even
real. My eyes drifted towards the right of the train. I began to critique a young blonde when the man with the jacket began to walk in my direction.
He was walking fast, darting straight to the bathroom when his coat flap floated up. I couldn't believe what I saw; it looked like a homemade bomb
strapped to his chest. Spending the next few minutes convincing myself that what I just saw wasn't what I thought it was, I began to panic. Next
thing I know, he's busting out of the bathroom with a gun and I was forced to prepare for what was going to happen next. It didn't take long for
everybody on the train to panic. It rushed through each row as the sobs and cries made their way to every passenger. It was an orchestra of agony and it

Descriptive Essay About A Festival
My excitement was almost palpable as I drove past Lake Okeechobee, watching sunlight bounce reflectively off the massive body of water. My 6
best friends and I were moments away from entering into the majestic festival land. Entering the festival grounds, we where bursting with
excitement and energy, partly because we were sitting still in a cramped car for 2 hours. The car was moving only several inches per minute, but as
the car took covered more territory, so did my eagerness. There were only a couple of feet distancing our car from the next; everyone else was as
enthusiastic as I. I saw smiles and excitement and heard electronic music in the background, all while sitting and waiting in a vehicle. It can to my
realization that this was the first time I was surrounded by a whole spectrum of unique people. Some attendees looked like they had just stepped out of
a Madonna music video, with neon colored clothes and asymmetrical patters; others wore shorts and a tank top. However, there were two similarities
among us: we came to dance to each beat of the music and we all suffered from the humid, swampy, hot weather.
Although my friends and I wanted to park the car and head straight to the festival, we had some housekeeping to do. Three tents and a camp area later,
we were ready to start dancing to the electronic music and enjoying our three day festival weekend. The summer heat was unbearable, as the humidity
engulfed the air and the sunrays kept reluctantly burning our

Descriptive Essay About My Funeral

  • 1. Descriptive Essay About My Funeral Today was funeral day. My mom's funeral. It was a dark October thursday, the clouds were brewing a storm. A slight breeze disturbed my neck. My uncomfortable suit sleeves bellowed in the cold breeze.. I hadn't felt any emotions since the day of her death, which was weeks ago, almost as if my emotion is grey. It was warm then, as my mind was too. Nowadays, up until today, my mind has been a dark fog, as if my mind was released into the sky, darkening everyone's day, arriving at my mom's funeral or just to cuddle up with their friends andfamily in front of a warm crackling fire, telling the stories of their childhood and how times were better. Not me, my dad usually ignored me and he only worked on managing my mom's fortune. Yeah. My mom's...show more content... It was rather calming, even in this time of darkness. I stumbled and started to kick my dress shoes off. I was drenched by now, and I literally had nothing to lose. I feel like a dark abyss. Am I making this to dark? Should I crack a couple jokes about my newly dead mom? My mourning now depressed father, cooped up with so much work of my dead moms fortune he has no time to even properly to go through the coping stages of losing someone? Yeah, my life is great! Might as well make fun of everything that's wrong with me. Isn't that what most comedians do? They always end up killing themselves. Now that's funny! Okay, it 's really not, I'm just a cruel teenager going through some stuff. I'm dark and sarcastic, dead mom or not. Why am I going on about this? I'm running out of breath, but I'm not sweaty or anything, it is now turning dark and colder, my blurred vision now getting worse and worse. I was nowhere near out of breath, which felt kinda good. My feet were cramping terribly but I proceed to round a dark corner. This was when the beginning of my short life changed Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About Beauty I think our minds are obsessed with beauty. We envy those we cannot be. We strive to have this picture perfect life, or something close to it. When I was younger, I was never out going or the kid that talked all the time. That just wasn't me. I never thought of myself as beautiful. I thought I was pretty, but in my mind, to be truly beautiful, one must possess other characteristics beyond the physical realm. To be exquisite, perfectly, and wholeheartedly beautiful, one must be: independent, self–confident, and happy. I didn't see this in myself at the time, but how could I? I was still in elementary school. There is one woman, however, who I considered being one of the most beautiful beings. She is partially the reason I am the person I am...show more content... I hated shopping. But this lady with her textured turtleneck always mesmerized me with how powerfully she presented herself. She was always so polished and prim. I never remember a Sunday where she looked like the overworked mother, or the stress ridden woman trying to keep her life together. No, she was quite the opposite. She was in complete control of her life. Years passed by, I no longer saw any of her kids. Her husband, who was quite obviously older than her, began to deteriorate. He had surgery that left him unable to walk without assistance. She was always there, guiding him, smiling at him, helping him into the car. She maintained the same calm, loving style towards him, before and after. At this point, I was quite a bit older. I understood death. I could tell just by looking at him, that his time was coming to an end; anyone could. But she paid no attention to that. She appeared older than before. Not in sense that she was dying, but she seemed like she had accomplished whatever she wanted in life. She seemed serene, they both did. It was in those last few months they had together that I saw a couple truly in love. They were happy. I've never seen anything like that before. I don't think that people genuinely understand their feelings for a person until they've lived without him or her or they know that that time is coming. She never once showed any sadness or sorrow. She remained as caring and as gentle as ever. He did eventually pass. She Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About A Hero When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies between different people; however, my definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway when things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero" the only person who comes to my mind is my cousin Cassy. My aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo, everybody looked at one another awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how long my aunt was going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to Fargo from the farm place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and then finally blurted out the sentence that nobody ever wants to hear come from a loved Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Descriptive Essay On Anxiety Generalized anxiety is a disorder in which a person has normally tense, uneasy, and feels very on edge more often than not. I have always had a bit on anxiety with being near and/or around people, I have never felt completely comfortable around anyone and often feel uneasy and nervous about everything, but during my last year of middle school my anxiety got tremendously worse with the stress of school. During my 8th grade year I was going to a college prep academy that came with an incredible amount of stress for a thirteen–year–old. As the school year went on I would get more and more homework and assignments. On average, I would come home with about four hours of homework that would be due the next day, eventually the stress and overwhelming amount of work became hard to handle and I started becoming more and more worrisome and uncomfortable in public. As the school year went on I just became extremely nervous and uncomfortable about everything, scared to move in front of people, scared to get up and sharpen a pencil, my hands were more often than not sweaty and gross feeling which just made me even more nervous because what if for some reason someone would need to touch my hand. I felt uncomfortable around friends that I had known and gone to school with for years. I eventually stopped going out at all and just stayed home, I wouldn't go out to eat with my parents nor would I go out with friends or anything. I started becoming very secluded from everyone. Eventually my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Descriptive Essay About Sadness Sadness. Some people will say they learned how to drive this summer, or they learned how to waterski. But I learned what sadness is. My mum and I spent two weeks with my grandfather and grandmother this summer. I knew my grandfather's health was failing. I knew he wasn't doing well. But I had absolutely no conception of how bad it was. He couldn't take ten steps without yelping in pain. He couldn't do much of anything by himself. Those two weeks were spent helping my grandparents any way I possibly could, carrying my grandfather 's walker places, and playing endless games of scrabble with him. My grandfather is the best scrabble player I have ever met. Every time I had visited him, we had played at least once a day and he would beat me...show more content... My eyes were clouded over and I just kept hearing the words that the principal had said over and over again. He had passed away. I didn't even know him well, but the idea that he could just be gone terrified me. Now it was happening to my grandfather. "How can someone just be gone?" I pleaded with my mum, but probably more with God than her. "How can someone be here one day, and then gone the next?' Tears began to fill my eyes and cloud my vision. "How is it that someone dies when their body fails them? How is it that one day Grandad will be gone, and I won't be able to talk to him anymore, or call him, or play scrabble with him? It's just not fair!" I collapsed into tears while my mum pulled over. We just sat there for a while, both hugging each other andcrying our eyes out. There was so much sadness in me. It was like a black hole, swallowing me up from the inside. It was an intense form of grief that I had never felt before. I would cry and feel my whole body shaking, tears coming out of my eyes, but my soul also gasping inside of me, trying to throw out that black hole, but instead getting consumed. My mum's face streamed with tears. "I feel the same way," she whispered before falling into heart wrenching sobs, the same sobs that had been haunting me for months, as she had been crying over her dad's Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Descriptive Essay On A Trip The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has been an exhausting yet enjoyable time running around with my classmates in the airport. Being in a different country and experiencing a new culture first hand was astonishing and gave me a new outlook of the beauties in the world. From Montone, Florence, Venice, andRome I had the ultimate trip in Italy. The food, language, and culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of drinking wine with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was breathtaking to see how many free artworks was there for the public. After being in Italy for about a month I can see why people are attracted and want to live in Italy. Montone is a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly town. I enjoyed the walk to town, the covenant, Aries CafГ©, the tavern restaurant, and the town's people. I had the best cappuccino and coffee at Aries and I loved every dish I ate at the tavern restaurant. The view from the covenant was beautiful and works perfectly for a painting. Getting around town was easy with everyone being so nice and helpful. The piazza was a great place to hang out because of friendly the environment was and it was the main spot in town where everyone stayed. • 7. Descriptive Essay About Myself I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide some basic background information on myself and talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better understanding of why I am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself because If I had been born under any different circumstances or grew up any differently I would be a different person than I am today. I was born inAberdeen Scotland but raised in Fort Bend County Texas. Aberdeen and Fort Bend both have great opportunities but differ in many ways. One way in which they differ is that Fort Bend is very culturally diverse while in Aberdeen most of...show more content... Her family communicates to one another using spanish or sometimes english. I have always grown up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's houses and hear them communicating in another language. On top of all of this meeting different people has also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them. Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents has signed me up and insisted I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Descriptive Personal Experience Essay I was in my room listening to music. My room would normally have a very serene feeling to it. My room had a beautiful dream catcher hanging on the wall and there was also a very big window that made it possible for me to see the moon every night. I always felt very relaxed in my room, but that day I could hear the screaming and arguing between my mom and my dad in the background. It was horrible. I could feel my eyes starting to water because I hated hearing my parents fight. The fighting and arguing continued for days. On one evening I could hear the voices of my parents arguing with my brothers. I was in my room as always and I started to feel room getting really hot. My mom glanced at me with a very puzzled expression on her face. "What do you mean? Are you sick?", she asked with confusion in her voice. "No, I mean I don't know I just haven 't been feeling too great emotionally i guess.", I responded in a very little voice because I thought that maybe she would think that I was crazy. Once I said that my mom stopped folding all of the laundry. "Since when?", my mom asked with a very surprised tone. "Maybe like 3 months.", I responded. "What! Three months why didn't you tell me". " I didn't tell you because I thought you wouldn't understand.", I said in a tone that almost sounded annoyed, which I think I might have been. " I think you should go to the doctor.", she told me. I didn't want to go to the doctor, but I knew that it would most likely help me. A couple days later I went to the doctor and he just asked me a bunch of questions. One of the questions was, what did it feel like to have an anxiety attack. That was probably one of the hardest questions i had ever had to answer. I couldn 't find the right words to describe how it felt. As he kept asking me questions he would write things down. I couldn't help but wonder what he was writing down. I would keep having the thought that maybe he was writing down all of the bad things. After the doctor stopped talking to me he started to talk to my mom about ways to help Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Three Descriptive Research Methods Essay One of of three methods used for descriptive research is the case study. The case study method is the oldest form of research used in psychology today. To help you better understand what case studies are I would recommend you think of an individual person case. Case study is when someone studies one person to explain things that happen for all of us. Basically applying the outcome to all people ; one representing all. Case studies will describe your behavior. In present day we have noticed that although the individual cases may be accurate, it only applies to that one person. There will always be a conflict of interest because what may happen to one person does not necessarily happen to the next. For example you may say that after ...show more content... This type of research gathers information from a large group of people. It will be not go into depth as much as the case study might and involves many cases. As an example think of making you own survey and distributing it out to various amounts of people, gathering the information and conducting you hypothesis. We are constantly asked to participate in surveys whether its an internet advertisement or a class handout from the college you attend. When asking you question you have to be careful as to how you word the question. The words you choose may influence a participant to lean toward a certain side. You may sound biased toward one issue which will effect you survey and hypothesis. Using random sampling allows researcher to have a fair representation of the subjects under study. Every person has an equal chance of participating. I would use this method with very larger groups of people. Ex. school. The last from of research would be naturalistic observation. Basically watching and recording the behavior of different subjects in the natural environment.Much of the reality shows today could be considered a form of naturalistic observation. Pending on how much the program actually interferes with the subject , they allow for an interesting hypothesis. This research will describe the behavior of an subject. Now that we have the information from the research we can evaluate the differences and similarities. When the research reveals that one Get more content on HelpWriting.net

On one side there is room for two closets with long mirrors that are used as doors. Between the two beds on the side opposite the closets are two desks that are covered with papers, water bottles, notebooks and pens. In the midde of the room sits a black flimsy square card table, covered with a stack of dirty plates and a binder. There are posters hung up around the room, a women's division three national championships poster, a periodic table, an american flag, and various photos of friends and family. The walls and ceiling are white and the floor is carpeted, with a matrix of various grey rectangles. There is a central lamp in the middle of the ceiling that illuminates the room and the blinds keep the rest of the light out. My dorm room is my home away from home. The room represents the collection of all the objects I thought important enough to bring with me to college so in a way it is me. Having to limit myself to only taking a certain amount of things from my home forces me to distill my priorities and interests. I have to figure out what my favorite shirts are, my favorite books, what decorations look the best, what color I want my sheets to be. In a way, I am choosing the traits that I want to bring with myself to college. My room is the combination of my chosen traits, building into my college identity. • 11. A Descriptive Essay : The Man The Man The green grass has nothing on his beautiful, emerald eyes. The soft smiles he gives me in the hallways light up the world. A face like heaven, but with a jawline so sharp it could cut your fingers. The way his muscles tense when I rub his arms after a long, sweaty day of baseball is like holding a bowling ball. Messing with his fluffy hair is like cotton candy I could tear into everyday. The noises he makes are so crazy they become comforting. His smell is very unique, just like a cozy house on a winter day. A mammoth's heart is non comparable to how big of a heart he has for the ones he loves. I get a delightful tingly sensation when his manly, but modulated voice speaks to me on the phone at night. No Channing Tatum can compare how handsome he looks in my eyes. The flirtation winks he gives me while walking to the dugout when he sees me looking at him. When I look at him I see a beautiful person inside and out. The way he laughs, you'd think we were at a comedy show. Hearing him laugh until he's crying is the best feeling you get in your body that just brightens your day and all you can do is just stare and admire him. The warm, soft hugs he gives is like laying in a freshly made bed after everything has been washed. His eyes dilate every time he looks at me and you can just see the happiness in his eyes. When he holds my hand in stores it's like having my own personal guardian angel taking me towards the right way in life. He cares so much about what I want Get more content on HelpWriting.net

With my drink, I happily walked to the candyaisle that was in between the tobacco and cigarette aisles. My eyes couldn 't locate the KitKat wafers, my all–time favorite chocolate bar. As a result, I dragged myself back to the comfort of my chair empty handed. I felt like a sportsperson who just came home defeated from a championship game. My eyes ogled at the rack, from a great distance, while my heart wept and yearned for the treat. My mind, the biggest asset of my body, told my muscles to reevaluate the aisle. With a small ray of hope buried deep in my heart, I swiftly and carefully ran to the rack and inspected the candies again. The nervousness on my face made me lethargic as I inspected each of the boxes of candies. After a thorough investigation, I finally found a large box filled with the sweet and savory Kitkats hiding on the bottom shelf of the rack. My over excited heart started celebrating, while my mind remembered to seek permission. With my childlike innocence, I approached my mom and asked her by faking a naive look, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She is very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later. She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's happening in her immediate area. Poverty is like an epidemic with no antidote affecting the entire world. It has already killed billions of people, and will continue killing unless we do something to stop it. Have you ever thought what living in poverty is like? Seeing a shocking picture in which people were trying to survive gave me a whole different perspective. That image showed me one of the poorest areas of the planet where people were living under despicable conditions. They were working in sweatshops, collecting garbage and living in broken down huts in order to survive. A polluted river passes across from their humble homes, causing incomparable complication to their lives. I could observe the terrible conditions in which this people are working, fishing and collecting garbage. Not only pollution is shown in this photo, above of the photograph a bridge could be observed. I imagine the noise, and the dust that this little detail brings to their lives. That photograph made me feel angry at politicians because they could do a better job helping the needy. Since they were almost dying, I felt sad for the circumstances they live in. A sense of admiration for the way they are able to survive, gave me the strength to fight against this global scourge. • 18. Descriptive Personal Experience Essay So, there I sat, seat G4 on the train headed to nowhere. I didn't have a destination; I never really did. I guess that's just the type of person I was, someone who just hopped on a train for the ride. I always liked trains. I don't know what it was about them, but for some reason or another, I always found myself lounging in the same spot drinking hot cocoa. People always said that hot chocolate "was only for kids" but I never got that; I had a pretty strong distaste for coffee. Honestly, I hate it, the way it makes your teeth gritty to the point where you need something else to drink. I can't even enjoy a cup unless it's lighter than my own skin tone, which, by the way, is pretty pale. I mean I wouldn't call myself pasty but... Anyhow, it...show more content... My mother raised me right, so I understood how wrong this was, but don't worry, nothing I had been thinking was going to leave my thick skull. Most of the people on the train were older women with their children, but next to me was a man. His eyes, like mine, matched his hair in blackness. However creepy, I always found this feature refreshing, in the way that one finds a black cat. I named this man Frank and created a story for him when another man caught my eye. It was his coat. It was an expensive Ted Baker peacoat which was impressive for how young he was. I worked out frequently and could tell by his body that he had been skipping leg day. His chest, however, was ridiculously huge, almost as if it wasn't even real. My eyes drifted towards the right of the train. I began to critique a young blonde when the man with the jacket began to walk in my direction. He was walking fast, darting straight to the bathroom when his coat flap floated up. I couldn't believe what I saw; it looked like a homemade bomb strapped to his chest. Spending the next few minutes convincing myself that what I just saw wasn't what I thought it was, I began to panic. Next thing I know, he's busting out of the bathroom with a gun and I was forced to prepare for what was going to happen next. It didn't take long for everybody on the train to panic. It rushed through each row as the sobs and cries made their way to every passenger. It was an orchestra of agony and it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Descriptive Essay About A Festival My excitement was almost palpable as I drove past Lake Okeechobee, watching sunlight bounce reflectively off the massive body of water. My 6 best friends and I were moments away from entering into the majestic festival land. Entering the festival grounds, we where bursting with excitement and energy, partly because we were sitting still in a cramped car for 2 hours. The car was moving only several inches per minute, but as the car took covered more territory, so did my eagerness. There were only a couple of feet distancing our car from the next; everyone else was as enthusiastic as I. I saw smiles and excitement and heard electronic music in the background, all while sitting and waiting in a vehicle. It can to my realization that this was the first time I was surrounded by a whole spectrum of unique people. Some attendees looked like they had just stepped out of a Madonna music video, with neon colored clothes and asymmetrical patters; others wore shorts and a tank top. However, there were two similarities among us: we came to dance to each beat of the music and we all suffered from the humid, swampy, hot weather. Although my friends and I wanted to park the car and head straight to the festival, we had some housekeeping to do. Three tents and a camp area later, we were ready to start dancing to the electronic music and enjoying our three day festival weekend. The summer heat was unbearable, as the humidity engulfed the air and the sunrays kept reluctantly burning our Get more content on HelpWriting.net
