The U.S department of veteran’s affairs operates the nation's largest integrated health care system with more than 1,700 hospitals,
clinics, community living centers, domiciliaries, readjustment counselling centers, and other facilities. I assist Veterans with obtaining
health compensation benefits, along with developing and adjudicating their claims. Most importantly, I serve as a subject matter
expert of disability compensation programs administered by the Veteran’s Benefits Administration
Duties and Responsibilities
 Maintain confidentiality and protect the integrity of Veterans Benefit programs.
 Manage higher-level claims and help colleagues troubleshoot complex issues.
 Teach training various work training courses, including training on PTSD, workload management and administrative decisions
 Examine complex issues for eligibility, entitlements, and veterans dependent on disability compensation benefits.
 Counsel and advocate for VA claimants thereby providing information about a broad range of benefits and services.
 Gather requisite evidence from medical, military, community, and other sources to support benefit determinations.
 Function as the acting decision maker applying controlling laws and regulations during development phase.
