2. Simple Present
It is used to talk about facts, things that happen
over and over again , agreements or scheduled events,
actions n the present followed by another and instructions.
Example:
We live en Redmond.
They have a house in Seattle.
Past Simple
Verb tense is used to indicate actions or something that
occurred in the past and that it has nothing to do with this.
Example:
She cleaned her house.
I broke the window.
3. Future Simple
The Simple Future tense is used to describe actions that
will develop in the future without the need to clarify at what point
will occur. Its equivalent in the Spanish language is Future
Imperfect .
Example:
Susan will visit her mother tomorrow
John will travel to New York the next
month.
4. Continuous tenses:
Present Continuous.
the Present Continuous: express the idea that
something is happening now, at this very moment. It can also be
used to show that something is not happening now.
Examples:
You are learning English now.
Is he sitting or standing?
5. Past Continuous
the Past Continuous to indicate that a longer action
in the past was interrupted. The interruption is usually a
shorter action in the Simple Past. Remember this can be a
real interruption or just an interruption in time.
Examples:
I was listening to my iPod, so I didn't hear the fire alarm.
While John was sleeping last night, someone stole his car.
Future Continuous
the Future Continuous to indicate that a longer action in the
future will be interrupted by a shorter action in the future. Remember
this can be a real interruption or just an interruption in time.
Examples:
I am going to be staying at the Madison Hotel, if
anything happens and you need to contact me.
He will be studying at the library tonight, so he will not see Jennifer
when she arrives.
