● Primarily responsible for maintenance and support of over 2000 pieces of netw orkequipment for multiple
markets. Mainly responsible for the Corporate Data Center equipment and peripherals w hile assisting team
members in the localmarkets.
● Monitored and enhanced documentation of the primary netw ork. This included updating diagrams w ith Microsoft
Visio, using the Solarw inds Suite, and helping to sustain the Ciscow orks RME environment.
● Upgraded and administered help w ith F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers. Worked closely w ith the Server Team to
ensure proper load balancing and troubleshooting any arising problems.
● Assisted with upgrading and maintaining Cisco Prime w ireless infrastructure. The environment exceeded 1200
AccessPoints across multiple markets.
● WAN Upgrades and circuit troubleshooting w hen necessary working with vendorssuch as Verizon, Centurylink,
and AT&T.
● Worked closely w ith Security Teamon Juniper NS-5200 Firew alls. Upgraded Juniper appliances multiple times
and assisted in troubleshooting Junos Pulse issues.
● Upgraded and maintained Cisco ASA 5550 Firew alls on a daily basis. Migrated 100+ VPN connections from
VPN Concentrators to ASA 5550, w orking closely with clinics and vendors to ensure minimal dow ntime.
● Troubleshot and upgraded IBM BladeCenter sw itches. This included experience w ith NX-OS as w ellas
extensive w orkwith the Server Team w ith server migrations.
● Worked On-Call every other month for 2 w eeks to ensure criticalissues were resolved in a timely manner.

of a major outage.

COMMUNITY HEALTH SYSTEMS - L3 Network Implementation

● Primarily responsible for implementation of new networkequipment for up to 110 hospitals ow ned by
Community Health Systems.

facility w here information is documented according to corporate standards, followed by an in-depth analysis of
the current netw orkand a detailed netw orkdesign proposalto enhance the facility's IT capabilities, meet
business requirements and provide adequate redundancy to minimize dow ntime.
● WAN Upgrades to production facility routers ranging fromfractionalT-1's to DS3. Required coordination w ith
Verizon Business and the facility's IT personnelto successfully cut-overto the new circuits with minimal
dow ntime. Also, included WAN optimization via the configuration and installation of Cisco's WAE-674 using the
WAN Acceleration Application Services solution.
● Implemented full-scale wirelesscoverage for multiple hospitals, including connected clinics, w ith the use of
4404 and 5508 Cisco Wireless LANControllers and Cisco’s Wireless Control System. Primarily familiar w ith
Cisco's Lightw eight Solution up to using Clean Air 3502i access points.
● Acquisition experience involving an initial assessment through the design stage and configuration of netw ork
equipment for the site. Responsible for netw orkconversions involving 5520 ASA Firew alls.

UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS - Tactical Network Specialist
May 2009 – March 2010
Led a netw orking teamof 6 people to install, configure, and maintain a mission-critical, robust, secure
LAN of over 300 routers and sw itchessupporting 8,000 usersin Afghanistan. Configured and maintained 4
netw orkenclaves(Classifications: Unclassified, Secret, Mission Secret (communications w ith NATO) and
Centrixs (inter-communication for disparate Armed Services). Managed a WAN-based netw orkto support 14
other sites including multiple redundant links betw een each site. Utilized Orion Solarw inds suite to allow
proactive and incident monitoring for all netw orkdevices. Effectively leveraged used Orion Cirrus to
accommodate router and sw itch configuration backups. Integrated MS Active-Directorywith TACACS server on
multiple netw orksto for networkdevices.
November 2008 – April 2009
Supervised TechnicalSupport operations for supporting over 500 users to ensure reliable LAN
services to customer base. Additionally conducted two training exercisesinvolving Server 2003 integration w ith
Cisco routers and sw itches supporting over 150 users formultiple w eeks at a time.

During advanced-unit deployment to Afghanistan (Helmand Province) w ith the 24th
Marine
Expeditionary Unit (MEU) supporting mission critical combat operations, implemented a field-based LAN
supporting over 500 users utilizing Server 2003 Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange. Configured and
maintained Cisco sw itches and routers across2 enclaves.
