Accomplishments
• Successful new installation/build of, and relocation of several
United Kingdom and Stateside Network Operations’ Centers,
including local and global testing to buy-off of Satellite Mission
Control Centers and Network Operation Centers, stateside and
overseas, as a Network Support Integrator (NSI) and a Field Engineer
respectfully.
• Coordination of site activities between Operations and
Maintenance (O&M) personnel and contractors performing Sun and
Window’s server and workstation software and hardware installations,
including but not limited to Window’s 7, Server 8, as well as
software/hardware modifications, upgrades or emergency unscheduled
maintenance on site. Conducting of briefings and daily updates to
contractors, site personnel, site commanders and related staff. This
coordination of activities contributed to the successful network
installation and testing of a new major VAFB Network Control
Center.
• Installation and configuration of core network devices as well as
Windows workstations and related servers. Maintenance and
management of several vast classified enterprise network systems for
NOC/NCC and Satcom operations including TS/SCI, NIPRNET and
SIPRNET networks. Extensive experience with military and U.S.
Government policies, security compliance and procedures for handling
WAN/LAN and COMSEC systems.
• Resolved a major Network Control Center installation issue,
saving my employer substantial cost and time to successfully meet site
testing and sign-off schedule.
• Resolvement of all first, second and third tiers of LAN & WAN
network problems as a Network Administrator/System Administrator;
Provided level 1,2 and 3 network continuity and disaster recovery on a
large enterprise campuses, stateside and in the United Kingdom. LAN
and WAN equipment included Cisco switches, 7000 series router,
6500s’, 4000s’, 3750’s, 2940 switches, Brocade 6400 series switches,
Oracle databases, HP and Sun Servers, Sun desktops, wireless access
points, and various Cisco and Brocade devices.
• Successful design and implementation of a new Networks’
Configuration Management database for a large, enterprise network
campus. Using remote login software tools to reach all LAN/WAN
devices, users and actual physical audit to develop and provide a site-
wide user, network device and infrastructure database. Tools included
SSH, Telnet, Visio Design drawing package, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Network and System administration and O&M covering three
laboratories, network closets and a Network Operations’ Center with
SCIF and COMSEC, including all software upgrades and installations
on servers, switches, firewalls and workstations. Install and test of
Software installation packages (for all servers and workstations), user
accounts, server backups. Majority of time working independently
without supervision. Tools included HP Openview, Ciscoworks,
VERITAS network, ACRONIS for imaging and backups and Visio
drawing design.
Platforms: Experience with Solaris, Cisco, Brocade 6400 series
switches, Unix, Linux, HP Linux, REDHAT, Cactus, Active
Directory, Oracle, CAT OS, IOS, Windows 2007, 2008 and Server

Duties encompassed the full range of network and system
integration/administration of Department of Dense Space Systems,
backup Network Operations’ Center (LAN/WAN), and Space and
Missile Operators’ training centers (LAN/WAN), covering military
Defense Space Systems and General Space training programs, network
and system administrator processes, procedures, updates,
software/hardware installations and maintenance to support

Mission Control Center/Satellite Network Center. Implement all
network upgrades/changes; Resolve all LAN/WAN/Circuit
