Duties/Responsibilities: I conduct site surveys and supports activities to produce distinct work packages
that outline specific tasks, site documentation, and equipment and materials needed to complete
equipment installations for the DOD/DISA’s Defense Information Systems Network (DISN)
multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) and the joint regional security stacks (JRSS) projects. MPLS is part
of a modernization effort to upgrade the bandwidth capacity of the DISN. It is also the industry‐standard,
JRSS‐enabling technology that speeds and manages network traffic flow.
I conduct site preparation activities to include installation of equipment racks, power to the racks, and
cable ladder racks and patch panels. I conduct hardware, software, and wiring installation, inspection,
and removal. I also conduct hardware configuration and upgrades. I generate completion reports to
include as-installed documents (Red Line drawings), circuit end-to-end activation coordination and
cutover management for transition actions and site implementation testing and checkout.

I supported US Army and Defense Information System Agency (DISA) 10/100G router upgrades by
completing customer site surveys for the installation of Cisco System Aggregation Services Router (ASR)
9010 CE/PE routers. I developed Site Survey Reports (SSR) and Telecommunication Site
Implementation Plans (TSIP) according to DISA Network Services (NS) implementation standards. Mr.
Getsinger designed, installed and tested the router equipment; the serial, Ethernet, Cat5e, and fiber optic
cabling; and AC/DC power cabling in accordance with the TSIP running sheets and DISA
Implementation Standards.

I developed Public Safely Network (PSNet) Installation Design Plans (IDP) that connected Enterprise
Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) System, Navy Emergency Response and Management System (NERMS)
Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (AT/FP) and security access control, intrusion detection systems to
PSNet in the South East Region. I assisted CodeLynx Chief Network Engineer with LAN management
and completed an internal network upgrade consisting of new equipment cabinets, servers, switches, and
firewalls. For this I managed the equipment installation and tested and verified Ethernet/LAN circuits to
make sure they were operational.

I provided system engineering support for the US Navy Commander Naval Installation Command
(CNIC), Command, Control & Protection (C3P) Ashore (N61) PSNet Information Technology (IT) at
Navy installations worldwide. I utilized AutoCAD to design PSNet network which transports services in

completed line of site radar surveys and development of the Basic Electronics System Engineering Plans
(BESEP), IDPs, Program Support Agreements and the installations of radar systems at US Navy, NASA,
FAA and Marine Corps Air Stations worldwide. I monitored scope and progress, controlled expenditures
and schedules for all assigned program/project work, consulted on potential problem areas and defined
scope changes with customers and sponsors. I briefed current and potential customers on capabilities of
systems, prepared proposals and collaborated with various federal, state and local government agencies
and contractors. I developed, modified, reviewed, maintained, and commented on test procedures,
