Using IESVE for Room Loads Analysis - UK & Ireland
Sap mtbr
1. SAP MTBR & MTTR
Background:
1. SAP can provide Mean Time To Repair (MMTR), and Mean Time Between
Repairs (MTBR) metrics.
2. The key to obtaining valid results is (as normal) valid input.
3. However, there are also some special situations and requirements that should be
known.
Input Required:
1. Malfunction Data must be provided on a Notification.
a. Any of the Notification types (M1, M2, M3) can be used.
2. All of the Malfunction Data must be provided on each Notification
a. Malfunction Start Date
b. Malfunction End Date
c. Breakdown Indicator must be selected
d. Breakdown Duration
e.
f. Breakdown Time will be calculated automatically from the Start and
End Date and Time if you hit Enter .
Number Of Breakdowns Calculation:
1. Notifications for the same Technical Object with overlapping Malfunction Start and
End Dates and Times are counted a single Breakdown.
Breakdown Duration Calculation:
1. Notifications for the same Technical Object with overlapping Malfunction Start and
End Dates and Times have special processing as represented in this picture:
2. a.
MTTR:
1. Breakdown Duration (1+…+n) / Number of Breakdowns
2. Example
a. First breakdown 10 hours
b. Second breakdown 5 hours
c. Number of breakdowns 2
d. MTTR = 10 +5 / 2 = 7.5 hours
MTBR:
1. ((Start Time of Breakdown n – Start Time of Breakdown n-1 ) – Breakdown
Duration n-1) / Number of Breakdowns
2. Example
a. Start-up date of pump A 01.01.94
b. First breakdown 10.01.94
c. Downtime 10 hours
d. Second breakdown 20.01.94
e. Downtime 5 hours
f. Number of breakdowns 2
g. MTBR = (19 * 24 - 10) / 2 or X + Y (hr) / 2
h. = (456 - 10) / 2 or (216 + 240 - 10) / 2
i. = 223 hours
Start Up Date:
1. Start-Up Date on the General Tab of an Equipment Record is used to determine
when the equipment began service.
3. 2.
3. A missing Start-Up Date forces the calculation to determine the beginning service
date from the End Date of the first malfunction.
a. The first malfunction is not taken into account when it is used to determine
the beginning of service.
b. Malfunctions that overlap the first malfunction are not included in the
Breakdown Counts, Durations, or Time Between calculations.
c. Recording a Start-Up Date after Breakdowns are entered correctly reverts
the calculations after the next Breakdown Notification is entered
4. Time 00:00:00 is used for the beginning of service time.
5. It is recommended that Start-Up Date be set on all Equipment and
Functional Locations in order to obtain clear results from the MTBR
calculation.
Running The Breakdown Analysis Report (MCI7):
1. The Functional Location selection criteria can only be used to find Notifications
that only have a Functional Location as the Reference Object.
2. A Functional Location selection criteria will not find Notifications that include
Equipment as a Reference Object.
3. The Equipment selection criteria must be used to find Notifications that include
Equipment as a Reference Object.
