4.  Alcinous welcomed
Odysseus
In his kingdom.
 Alcinous offered gifts to
Odysseus in exchange of
his battle stories.
 Alcinous offered a bull to
Zeus to guide the journey
of Odysseus.
 In return, Odysseus
offered a long speech
thanking the King.
 Odysseus offered wine to
the Queen, and wish her
well.

5. Odysseus started his journey
going back to Ithaca.
Poseidon consulted Zeus
about the insults he received
from Odysseus.
Zeus suggested that it is
dependent on the decision of
Poseidon.
Poseidon asked for an advice
from his brother.
Zeus decided that Poseidon
should turn the waves of the
shoreline into stone.

6.  The Phaeceaen offered their 12 best
bulls in order to appease the
angered God, Poseidon.
 On the other hand, Athena was already
plotting on how to send Odysseus
To Ithaca safely.
 Athena guided the journey of Odysseus
 Odysseus arrived in Ithaca as an old man
 Odysseus was confused on how
he will hide all his gifts from the
Phaeceaens.

7.  Athena met Odysseus disguised
as Menter.
 Athena hid Odysseus in a cave,
and she shared her plan to
eliminate the suitors of Queen
Penelope.
 Athena mentioned that she let
Telemachus travel to the
palace of Menelaus to confirm
the whereabouts of his father.
 Odysseus was confused why did
Athena let Telemachus go even
though she knows that his
alive.
 Athena argued that it will be a
great honor for a successor to
put an effort in looking for his
own father.

8. With Athena’s
guidance Telemachus
returned safely to
Ithaca.
Telemachus met his
father.
And they planned on
how to take down all
Queen Penelope’s
suitors.

9. 1. King Alcinous, guided by Athena helped in the
successful return of Odysseus.
2. Zeus took pity towards his daughter Athena.
3. Zeus helped in plotting the success of Odysseus
successful return to Ithaca.
4. Athena plotted to disguise Odysseus into an old
man.
5. Odysseus and Telemachus planned to take down
the suitors of Queen Telemachus.
