2. Filming Location 1
- Home (Living Room)
My Home’s Living Room was the location I recorded
the ‘Pre-Asteroid Panic’ Scene. I chose my Home’s
Living Room due to the fact that it fits within the
context of the narrative, as Shane’s creating a ‘Day in
the Life of’ vlog, so a home would be a realistic place
for him to film it. It was also a room that creates a
warming feel, with use of bright colours (mise-en-
scene) like yellow and white to show the warmth
between the characters. It also allowed me to use
mise-en-scene in terms of proximity, to elaborate,
Shane is closest to Ray, thenTravis, then Zoey, this is
show the closeness within their relationships, so it can
be interpreted that: Ray is Shane’s closest friend and
Zoey is the most distant. Finally, the largeTelevision
was perfect for airing the ‘News Report’.

3. Filming Location 2
- Chilton Road
Chilton Road was the location I recorded the ‘News
Report’ Scene. I chose Chilton Road because it was a
location that created an atmospheric feel, it was
also a realistic place for a news report to be filmed.

4. Filming Location 3
- Purdis Heath
Purdis Heath is the location I recorded the ‘Pre-
Evacuation’ Scene. I chose this location because it
juxtaposes the ‘Pre-Asteroid Panic’ scene, it does this
by contrasting the disequilibrium of running through a
forest and the equilibrium of a normal day at home.
