2. We decided to use a bathtub scene where the characters lying dead in a bath, this to show her
committing suicide. I took inspiration from Macklemore’s song “Otherside”. The bath we want to be in the
centre of the room to represent the end of this character and so the camera angle focuses purely on the
character rather than her surroundings. This scene will be the darkest in terms of lighting due to the
darkness of the situation, we may explore the use of chirascuro lighting to fit the scene.

3. Studio location
Due to one of the most important shots being in a dancing studio we have decided to rent out a studio
from the garage. This offers space for us to work with and gives us an hour. Allowing us to get as many
shots as possible, and we will have a quiet space to work with so the audio isn’t interfered with. Having
this generic dancing location will be a nice cross between this real world and her fantasy of freedom
which comes in the following scene. In this scene the lighting will be quite monotone, as this will be a nice
transfer over from the gloomy look of the studio to the freedom shot where she is outside with bright
lighting, this is to show a nice contrast making each shot differ.
4. We were thinking about using the area around Caistor for our main shot,
because of the beautiful area surrounding it and the open fields we believe that
this beautiful area would be a nice contrast from the monotone shots in other
scenes. We also believe that this space with the right lighting could represent
this dream like world which we are aiming to create in our film.
