Abstract
The article is the result of scientific research activities focusing on the preparation of
model which solve the impact of risks on company performance. This model is
monitoring the impact of systematic and unsystematic risks on the performance of the
selected company in Slovakia. Systematic risks are solved from the perspective
historical model expected rate of return of the security. Unsystematic risks are solved
with the application of the national model for internal risks Slovakia and Czech
Republic. The contribution of this article is selection of risks which have an impact on
performance of the selected company, generalization knowledge of impact risks at a
given sector and quantification of internal – unsystematic and external - systemic risks
impacting the sector in Slovakia. At the same time within the article processed the
development of selected risks to Slovak conditions and their comparison with selected
countries of the European Union. Processed data in the article are the basis for
performance analysis of selected sector of the Slovak Republic and its comparison
with European Union countries.
