3. Matthew 22:34-40 (NIV)
Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the
Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law,
tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest
commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord
your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And
the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the
Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
4. Galatians 5:14 (NIV)
The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your
neighbor as yourself.”
5. The trouble comes when you assume that
everyone must demonstrate love the same exact
way you demonstrate love because that is the only
RIGHT WAY to demonstrate love…

26. Ephesians 5:22-28 (NIV)
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the
husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the
church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the
church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their
husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church
and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her
by the washing with water through the word, and to present
her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or
any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way,
husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He
who loves his wife loves himself.
27. Ephesians 5:33 (NIV)
…each one of you also must love his wife as he loves
himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
