The poem expresses a desire to be lifted up and protected by God from troubles on earth. It repeats the refrain "Ndiphakamise ndime, Nkos', Ngokholo ndibe phezulu, Kunoko ndakha ndanjalo; Nkosi ndityale phezulu" asking God to lift the speaker up above troubles. The speaker does not want to dwell where there are questions, and wants to be lifted up above the earth to a place of peace.

This is a four-part series on Knowing Your Personality, that the women in the SE region will be doing from February-May. Join us on this journey of better understanding ourselves, our relationships, our mates and our children.
The Christmas season can surface hidden hurts, expose harmful habits, and reveal a hijacked heart. The document suggests finding shelter in the Most High, as God knows our innermost thoughts and sees if there is any grievous way in us. It advises learning in the shelter of the Most High that there is only one God and Messiah, not ourselves, and that our job is to introduce others to the Messiah.
Psalm 139 reflects on God's omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. It expresses that God knows all of one's thoughts and actions, and is present everywhere, including in darkness. No matter where one goes, God is still there and will lead them. It acknowledges how God formed humanity and knew them even before their birth. The psalmist finds comfort in God's knowledge and presence, despite feeling overwhelmed, and looks to God for guidance in living righteously.
The Psalm describes God as omniscient, eternal, sovereign, and infinite. It says God knows our thoughts, actions, and whereabouts at all times. The Psalm encourages acknowledging, worshipping, submitting to, and praising God given his complete knowledge and sovereignty. It suggests avoiding ungodliness and ungodly influences, and instead inviting God's scrutiny and leadership in life.
The document contains a list of "Easy Straight Forward Questions" with answers, including: which country makes Panama hats (Ecuador), the month Russians celebrate the October Revolution (November), how long the Hundred Years War lasted (116 years), that 'Catgut sutures' are made from sheep and horses, and that a camel's-hair brush is made from squirrel fur.

The document summarizes key aspects of God described in Psalm 139. In 3 sentences:
God is all-knowing, perceiving our thoughts and knowing our actions even before we do them. God is also always present everywhere, from heaven to the depths of the sea, guiding and holding us. Furthermore, God is all-powerful, forming us in the womb and having ordained all the days of our lives before we were born.
The document discusses God's omniscience, or all-knowing nature. It explains that God knows everything about each person, including their thoughts, actions, words, plans, and days. Psalm 139 describes how God knows everything behind and before each person, and how His knowledge is humbling. Since God knows everything, people should commit themselves to doing everything as if for God and yielding daily to do what He wants.
The document is a sermon from First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on the topic of self-worth based on Psalm 139. It summarizes that Psalm 139 describes God as omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. It explains that we should find our self-worth and value from God's love and knowledge of us, rather than comparisons to others. The sermon encourages believing in Jesus Christ as our savior to be accepted by God.
This document discusses having faith during difficult times by trusting God. It notes that as finite humans, having faith in an infinite God can be challenging. However, the key is trusting the One who understands what we're going through based on passages from Psalms 139 and Joshua 1:9 that convey God knows us personally, is with us, understands our thoughts and ways, and will carry us through to the other side.

Psalm 139 discusses how God knows everything about us and is present everywhere. It emphasizes that our worth comes from being uniquely created and known by God, rather than from comparisons to others. The document examines how the psalm describes God's omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. It highlights that we can understand God's thoughts through the Holy Spirit. Overall, the document uses Psalm 139 to show that each person has equal and intrinsic worth in God's eyes due to his intimate knowledge and sovereignty in our creation.
The document contains the prayers and readings for a morning prayer service. It includes a psalm, short reading from Ezekiel, and prayers. The psalm discusses waiting patiently for God and being lifted from trouble. The reading notes that God allows difficulties so he can show his greatness in rescue. The prayers ask for enlightenment and strength to follow God's will.
In this final message in this series on Receiving God's Guidance we share practical steps on how we walk with God so we are consistently in a place where we hear from Him and follow His leading.
The document is a summary and analysis of Psalm 139. It discusses how God knows us fully and is always with us. It encourages being honest with God about our hearts and lives, and to let Him lead us in His everlasting way. The summary is divided into two parts:
1. Lying to God - God knows our innermost thoughts and nothing is hidden from Him. We cannot escape His presence by going up to heaven or down into the depths.
2. Honesty to God - We should honor God alone and abandon all other gods. We must be honest with God about any "offensive ways" and let Him guide us in His eternal path of righteousness.
God's word is life, it judges, it is powerful.
It is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, & training in righteousness to prepare us for every good work.
This document contains excerpts from the Bible discussing wisdom and living according to God's word. It emphasizes that true wisdom comes from seeking God and following his teachings rather than relying on human understanding. Living according to worldly desires will only lead to bitterness, while embracing God's righteousness brings fruitfulness and life without struggle or distortion. The document encourages accepting every word of God as most valuable rather than material wealth or pleasures of the world.
This morning prayer document contains:
1) A reading from Psalm 49 about how all people, both rich and poor, will die and none can escape death or buy their way into eternal life.
2) A short reading from John 17 where Jesus prays that those God has given him may see his glory.
3) A thought for the day about living in a way that allows God's unconditional love to shine through us for others.
4) A prayer asking God to draw the person praying into the fullness of God's love, since they are wholly God's creation and belong to God through redemption.

If you could work your way to heaven, if there was a bunch of hoops you had to jump through, then who really gets the glory? You do! But I have news for you, God isn’t interested in your glory. He’s interested in his own glory, because he’s the only one worthy of glory.
Hating our real enemy is not hating the person that is causing us problems in life. The real enemy is the one who wages war in my soul, the real enemy is the sin in my own life that destroys the work of God in my life!
The most wonderful thing about God is not his knowledge or his abilities, or the fact that he is tracking in real time every atom in your body. The most wonderful thing about God is his love.
Friends! This is our core message; We believe in life, and life abundantly. Life that builds on itself, life that finds its source in the God and our connection with him that begins at the cross.

Won't You Be my Neighbor? The Neighbor You Wish You HadCompassChurch
As part of our "Won’t You Be My Neighbor" series, we collected food and socks and underwear for school aged kids that needed a little help. We also sponsored 11 children Yazidi children, who have been on the run from ISIS.
When we give to our neighbors, we resemble Him, because He gives. Believe it or not, that’s a pretty big deal, because God created us in His image, to resemble Him. And so when we do stuff like that, we are living out the very reason we were made.
Won't You Be my Neighbor? When Jesus Colors Outside Your LinesCompassChurch
In a synagogue on the Sabbath, Jesus sees a woman who had been disabled for 18 years. When he heals her, the ruler of the synagogue criticizes Jesus for healing on the Sabbath. Jesus responds that even animals are given help on the Sabbath, so why not this daughter of Abraham who Satan had bound for 18 years. The people rejoiced at Jesus' actions.
“Won’t you be my neighbor?” is an invitation to help somebody know that they are loved and capable of loving… Love is at the root of everything; love, or the lack of it.”
- Fred Rogers
Won't You Be my Neighbor? - Do This and You Will LiveCompassChurch
The document discusses the biblical story of the Good Samaritan from the book of Luke. It tells how a Samaritan helped a wounded man that was ignored by others, showing him mercy. It emphasizes having compassion for others and desiring mercy over sacrifice or rules, as Jesus called people to help others and not just follow religious laws. The document suggests we should emulate the Samaritan's compassionate actions.
The Real Deal: Overcoming The World The Easy WayCompassChurch
So you either overcome the world or the world overcomes you. Either you love the world and you become a slave to the world and you buy all that it sells you, you drink all of its Kool Aid only to have it turn on you and destroy you in the end. Or you figure out a way to live in this world so that you can prevail in it. Even you might say, overcome it.
The Real Deal: How To Love People (When You Don't Really Like Them)CompassChurch
The document discusses the importance of love according to 1 John 4:7-12. It says that God showed his love for us by sending his Son to be the atonement for our sins. Because of how much God has loved us, we ought to love one another. When we love one another, God remains in us and his love is perfected in us.
There’s a lot of empty space with people making empty claims about God and Jesus and life and truth, but those quite frankly don’t add up, they sound good, but they’re hollow like this wall, and they can’t support the weight of your life, and if you try to anchor yourself to it, you’ll fall.
This document discusses how Jesus Christ serves as our advocate and the propitiation for our sins. It notes that if we sin, we have an advocate in Jesus, who turned God's righteous anger into favor through his sacrifice. It emphasizes the importance of keeping God's commandments and walking as Jesus walked in order to know that we abide in him.
The Real Deal: The DIY Fake Jesus FilterCompassChurch
If you try to get me to get excited about a Jesus who went 90% of the way, that’s a crappy Jesus. If the Jesus you’re showing me did not completely cover my sin, so that my whole life is now lived in gratitude toward him, then you’ve got a FAKE JESUS.
People will say, "why does God even allow us to disobey him in the first place? Wouldn’t the world be so much better if he didn’t?" But at the same time, it is an opportunity for him to show His redemptive power, which is more than He could have done if we never needed to be rescued in the first place.
The document describes two instances where Israelites sinned against God by disobeying his commands. The first was when Achan took devoted items from Jericho, which led God to become angry with the people. Achan confessed to taking a beautiful cloak, silver, and gold. He and his family were stoned to death for his sin. The second story describes King David seeing Bathsheba bathing and taking her, which led to adultery and murder. The document concludes with advice on how to avoid sin by always being ready to flee temptation, not acting alone, and considering the consequences of one's actions.

Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!
