PC Functionality
• The CompTIA Strata Fundamentals of PC
Functionality allows individuals to
demonstrate their understanding of basic
concepts such as:
– setting up a PC
– installing software
– recognising / preventing security threats

6. CompTIA Strata - Fundamentals of
PC Technology
• The CompTIA Strata Fundamentals of PC
Technology allows individuals to
demonstrate an understanding of
– the characteristics of hardware and
peripherals
– basic compatibility issues and operational
problems
– safety guidelines
– preventative maintenance

7. CompTIA Strata – 2 Exams
• These exam are only available in the
United Kingdom
• When both exams have been
successfully completed they can be used
as evidence towards an ITQ Level 1
award

8. CompTIA Strata IT for Sales
• The CompTIA Strata IT for Sales enables
an individuals to demonstrate an
understanding of the following concepts:
– Engaging with customers
– Identifying types of technology users
– Coordinate with technical staff to ensure
customer satisfaction
– Providing appropriate solutions based on
customer requirements - including Green IT
and preventative maintenance

• CompTIA's Strata Green IT certificate allow IT
professionals to demonstrate an understanding
of Green technologies. The concepts covered
include:
– A specialised knowledge of current IT methodologies
– Development, deployment, and calculating the ROI
for green IT initiatives
– Power management
– IT virtualisation techniques
– Safe disposal of waste
– Standards and regulations
