This document outlines a workshop hosted by GIZ Responsible & Inclusive Business Hub MENA (RIBH MENA) on sustainable renewable energy startups. RIBH MENA aims to promote corporate social responsibility and inclusive business in the MENA region. The workshop introduces a "Sustainable Startup Format" that guides participants through developing an eco-social business model and plan over 5 days. It also details RIBH MENA's efforts to support cleantech entrepreneurship and innovation in Egypt through various programs, grants, and facilitated investments. The renewable energy version of the Sustainable Startup Format is designed to help startup founders understand Egypt's energy context and develop viable solutions to launch renewable energy businesses.

workshop
was
designed
and
developed
by
GIZ’s
RIBH
MENA
in
association
with
Cleantech Arabia
• The
Sustainable
Startup
Format
focuses
on
training
potential
entrepreneurs
in
the
field
of
renewable/sustainable
energy
to
launch
their
startup.
By
the
end
of
the
5-­‐days
workshop,
the
startups
should:

workshop

February
2016,
with
a
total
of

hours
of
training

participants
