TRANSPORTATION
There are four main airports on which you can land in Romania. These are Suceava, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest.
Just before the inner gate you will see exchange office. I recommend you to exchange about 15 € (approximatively 75 lei) for the taxi
or bus choice, because rates might not be reasonable. 1 Euro = 4.94 lei currency rate (January 2022).
If you land on Suceava’s airport, we can pick you from the airport or you can take a taxi or the mini-bus (during the day).
There are around 14 km between Suceava Airport and Bucovina Institute’s office (on Zamcei street, no. 17).

How to get from Iași to Suceava
If you landed to Iasi City you have the following options:
1. Public transportation – from the Airport to the Railway Station (details
on the following link: https://www.sctpiasi.ro/trasee/conexiuni);
Iași Airport Bus 50. The bus stops at the stations: Airport, Târgu Cucu,
Independence Square and Train Station. The traffic schedule is made in
close connection with the flight schedule. The bus arrives at the airport at
least one hour before the take-off of the planes, respectively leaves the airport
at least 20 minutes after landing.
In bus 50 you can use the tickets for one and two trips and the sets of tickets from the CTP Iaşi offer. The ticket for a trip can be
purchased directly from the driver (after validation in bus 50, it can be used for 120 minutes). Below you can see the schedule that is
available from between the 17th
and the 23rd
of January 2022, but we will keep you up to date.

2. Taxi - from the Airport to the Railway Station
The taxi station is located at the exit of the Arrivals terminal. According to
https://www.worldtaximeter.com/, from the Iași Airport to the Main Railway Station
a taxi will charge approximatively 20 lei (4 €).
Once you get to the Railway Station in Iași you can choose Train or Bus Option as it follows:
Train option (Iasi – Suceava / Suceava – Iasi):
The recommended arrival station is Suceava (Burdujeni). From Iasi Train station to Suceava (Burdujeni) Station there are between
1h and 47 minutes (IR – 39,5 lei/ 8.17 €) minutes to 2 hours and 56 minutes (R – 18,3 lei/ 3.78 €). The tickets can be purchased inside
the Train Station or online (https://mersultrenurilor.infofer.ro/).

Bus option (Iași – Suceava / Suceava – Iași):
You can find the available buses on: https://www.autogari.ro/Transport/Iasi-Suceava. Usually, you will find the Intertrans minibuses.

costs 38 lei/ 7,69 €.

How to get from Cluj-Napoca to Suceava
If you landed to Cluj-Napoca City you have the following options:
1. Public transportation – from the Airport to the Railway Station (details

From the Aurel Vlaicu Airport in Cluj you can take the no 5. Bus that goes
through next stations:

Saturday → 05:45 – 22:15, waiting time approx. 20 min.

The price per person is approximatively 1 € per trip. The ticket can be paid through a message containing
the number of the bus, respectively ”5” at the number 7479 or with you credit card directly in the bus.

2. Taxi - from the Airport to the Railway Station
The taxi station is located at the exit of the Arrivals terminal. Taxi will take you to the train station or bus station. Use only taxis
equipped with charging devices and which have prices displayed in sight.

The recommended arrival station is Suceava (Burdujeni). From Cluj-Napoca Train station to Suceava (Burdujeni) Station there are

How to get from Bucharest to Suceava
If you landed to Bucharest City you have the following options:
1. Public transportation – from the Airport to the Railway Station

780 Express line connects the Henri Coanda International Airport to
Railway Station. The schedule starts in the morning at 5:30 AM and the
last bus is at 23:10 PM.
This line runs both during the day and at night, when buses follow each
other at 40-minute intervals. Bus stops are located in front of the Arrivals
Terminal and in front of the Departures Terminal. The price of a trip for
the express line is 3.5 lei (less than 1 €).
The magnetic card with two trips costs 7 lei (approximatively 1,5 €).
2. Taxi – from the Airport to the Railway Station
Licensed taxis without prior request, with fares between 1.39 lei/km and 3.5 lei/km, will be available for passengers arriving at
Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport. These cars will be situated in a taxi stations located at the exit of the terminal and will
take passengers in order of arrival. The touch screen terminals for taxi requests will still be available for customers who want to order
taxi from a certain company.

3. Train
To facilitate passenger access from Henri Coanda Airport to Henri Coandă Express trains – boarding on minibuses of transfer is
performed from the gangway on the 1st floor of the international arrivals area, where there is also the ticket office. Tickets can be
purchased from all ticket offices at the CFR railway stations and travel agencies, including the ticket office opened inside the Henri
Coanda International Airport.
Trains will run all day at approximately at each 40 minutes. From the capital's Gara de Nord (North) railway station to near Henri
Coanda airport. The journey will take 20 minutes and it costs approximatively 0,80 €.
Once you get to the Railway Station in Bucharest you can choose Train or Bus Option as it follows:
Train option (Bucharest – Suceava / Suceava – Bucharest):
The recommended arrival station is Suceava (Burdujeni). From Bucharest (Gara de Nord) Train station to Suceava (Burdujeni) Station
there are approximatively 6-8 hours, depending on the train (IR – 90,8 lei/ approximatively 19 € and R – 85,25 lei/ approximatively 17

inside the Train Station.

To get from airport Bucharest Otopeni to the Bus Station – Bucharest Obor take Public Bus No 780, to the Piata Unirii, then change
and take metro/underground train in direction Dristor 2;
