Indicators that a chemical change may have
happened:
Energy is absorbed or released (temperature changes)
Color changes
Gas is produced (bubbling, fizzing, or odor change; smoke)
Precipitate is formed - a solid that separates from solution
(won’t dissolve)
Irreversibility - not easily undone
