Cooper Standard Automotive is an industry leading Tier 1 supplier. CSA produces critical fluid
transfer systems, sealing systems, and anti-vibration material. CSA operates 78 plants
nationwide and in 19 countries globally. It employs in excess of 25,000 personnel. I currently
am employed at the Mt. Sterling, KY facility as a production finisher/customer service inspector
Production-Finishing October 2011-Present
Finishing is a fast paced, detail oriented department with a heavy emphasis in high quality, high
output parts manufacturing. While jobs are selected by the team leader, each employee fluidly
changes in and out of jobs as each completes and performs independent tasks with limited
supervision.

Environmental Management:
Environmental- Attended the ISO 14001 Boot camp.
I have served as an environmental auditor for the last two years.
I assist with plant compliance evaluations as requested

Lean Mfg, Continuous Improvement:
Member of the LEAN Committee with the goal of improved 6S compliance throughout
the plant.
I participated in multiple Kaizen events which resulted in process flow improvements in
several key areas.
One notable success was a process flow change that resulted in a 50 percent time savings
for the operator during change over. I presented in formal and corporate report
Pre-hire assessment evaluator:
Recruited to serve on a Work Assessment Process (WOP) new hire training/evaluation
team. This process evaluates new hire candidates and their ability to adapt to Cooper
Standard, standards.
Customer Service Inspector
Recruited by Quality Manager to man day shift inspection post. To inspect completed
parts prior to transport to Shipping inspection point. Day to day coordination with
finishing operators, team leaders, area supervisors, third party sort teams, and the Quality
manager.

I was a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician operating at the Advanced level
for 13 years in Ohio. I worked for three different private ambulance services during that time.

MILTARY 09/1982 to 10/1998
I served honorably for approximately ten years total service time. I was active duty Army for 6
years and two years IRR. I enlisted in the Ohio National Guard for four years but during that
time my occupational specialty was designated male only and I was transferred at my request to
the US Army Reserve where I was trained and certified as an Army Medic working for a Combat
Support Hospital. I was promoted ahead of many of my peers. I was accomplished the military
equivalent of basic and middle management/leadership schools. I served as first line personnel
manager for six years (noncommissioned officer). I also served as a training NCO for my unit
for six months.
VOLUNTEER SERVICE 03/1997-03/1999
I served two back to back terms as an AmeriCorps VISTA, or Volunteer in Service to
America.
I was recruited by a project leader to help run a pilot project in rural Appalachia called
CLDP or Community Leadership Development program. The focus of the program was
to recruit, engage, mentor, and educate small community leaders to develop sustainable
development programs in their community.
I acted as a mentor and a resource for my group of leaders and was the liaison between
the group and the sponsoring organization Rural Action.
