To whom it may concern,
Christian Shull
I am pleased to provide a general reference for Christian Shull with regard to his time working at Taipei
European School. Should you require a reference for a specific post, I will be more than happy to oblige.
Christian joined our school in December 2014, firstly as a Learning Support Assistant and then, for the
academic year 2015-16, as a Learning Assistant. In both roles he worked primarily in Key Stage Two with
children aged between seven and eleven years old. His enthusiasm and commitment have been a very
positive addition to our staff team and he made a positive contribution wherever he worked in the
school.
Christian was responsible for working alongside several class teachers and assisted with lessons and
activities, working with children and looking to the welfare of the children in classes in which he worked.
As Learning Assistant he liaised closely with other support staff. Each class in which he worked has had a
range of ability, children with learning and behavioural needs as well as very able children. A large
proportion of children in classes have had English as a second language. Christian supported the teacher
in taught lessons, worked on a one to one basis and led group work. His duties as a Learning Support
Assistant involved a similar role working with children with a variety of special educational needs.
Christian always demonstrated commitment to his classes and to his practice. He conducted himself in a
positive and professional manner. His relationships with children, staff and parents were always good.
Christian is leaving our school to live and work in Spain and I am certain that he will have the same
positive and enthusiastic approach to working in a new setting as he has shown here.
Yours sincerely,
Peter Sloan
