1. Letter of recommendation
January 2017
Stockholm
To whom it may concern,
This is a letter of recommendation for Anastasia Kontoglou.
She has been doing her workplace internship at a preschool in Stockholm, where I function
as Deputy head. As deputy head I have had development and reflection meetings with
Anastasia throughout the internship. I have also worked closely with Anastasia on the same
department under some periods of the internship.
Anastasia has a great love for pedagogic and enjoys discussing the things she has observed,
she is a keen observer and reflects a lot over things she sees and experiences. I have much
enjoyed the discussions we had and it has been a pleasure to see and follow the
development of Anastasia’s methodology and didactics. She lets the process take time and
twists and turns pros and cons to arrive to a well thought throw conclusion. She will be a
great teacher!
Besides the tasks given to her by her school she has taken part in the day to day running of
the nursery. She would welcome the children in the mornings and keep a professional, but
friendly contact with the parents, she would join the children throughout the day and build
good relationships with them, changing nappies, supporting and encouraging them during
clothing, eating and activities according to the child’s need and to the relationship she would
have to the child.
Anastasia is a happy, active person who is much joy to be around and to discuss with. She is
intelligent and also sensitive, responsive and flexible to others around her. Her main talent is
her ability to observe and discuss things around her.
We wish her all the best and do recommend her warmly.
Humpty Dumpty is a private preschool, a so called Parent co-operative, it’s run by a board of
parents. We follow the Swedish government’s curriculum for preschools and we are a
bilingual preschool (English and Swedish).
