Baker University student Kendall Stelting has experience nannying and babysitting for over 8 years, working with children in Baldwin City, Olathe, and Overland Park, Kansas, helping develop classroom rules and expectations. During a fall 2016 field practicum, she observed a 5th grade classroom in Baldwin City, seeing new teaching strategies. For a spring 2017 practicum, she will observe a Wellsville School District classroom, hoping to learn even more about classroom teaching.

Working as a Babysitter for 8+ years, and a nanny for 2 years. These skills help with
classroom rules, and expectations. Some jobs have been done in Baldwin City, while the
majority of the others were Olathe and Overland Park Kansas.
Field Practicum #1
Fall of 2016 year, I observed a 5th grade teacher and her classroom in Baldwin City
Kansas, and the Intermediate center. This experience helped me see a different
teaching strategy that I had never experienced before.
Field Practicum #2
Spring of 2017 year, I will be observing a classroom teacher and her students in the
Wellsville School District. I expect to learn a lot from this classroom, potentially even
more than my previous Practicum.
