My name is Kirsten Tatge. I am an elementary school counselor at Talahi Community
School and Discovery Elementary School. I am writing in regards to a reference for Inna
ZhuraveJ. Inna has been a school counseling intern working with me for the 2010-2011
school year. She spends four hours a week at Talahi Community School.
Inna has had a wide variety of experience working with elementary students at Talahi.
She has taught classroom guidance lessons, she has assisted in running small group
sessions and she has seen students invidually for a variety of different reasons. She has
also had contact with teachers ·and some parents in regards to the students that she sees.
Inna has planned many lessons for our sixth grade students. She has been creative in
coming up with ideas to engage the students in learning and help change their behavior.
She has been very confident in teaching this group of children.
Often times when I had a crisis or immediate student need mise, Inna was willing to fill
in for me with the scheduled activities we had planned. For example, if I was pulled out
of our group or classroom session for a student crisis, Inna was willing and able to cover
the lessons with the students.
Inna shows care and concern for her students in her role as a school counseling intern and
she seems very eager to continue to learn about her profession.
