  1. 1. Voices From the Past Impacting the Present
  2. 2. <ul><li>Before departing for Poland and France, students and staff convened at the Toronto Holocaust Centre for a day of sensitivity training and team building activities on 30 June 2009. </li></ul><ul><li>On that day, they also toured the museum and learned about the life story of a Holocaust survivor. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>At the end of the day, each participant was presented with a letter written by an individual who had survived the Holocaust. The letters were to be opened at the end of the tour at Auschwitz. </li></ul><ul><li>On 14 August 2009, the feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe, students and staff were introduced to the authors of their letters. </li></ul>
