Comenius Programme
March 2014
On Tuesday and
Wednesday, we spent
almost the whole time
travelling.
Malaga London
London Gdánsk
On Thursday, we went to the school early in
the morning, doing some sightseeing
around the school and the town.
We also travelled to Bartoszyce
to visit the provincial fire
department and the local
newspaper.
At night, we finally went out with
the whole group to a disco.
In the afternoon, we travelled to
Bezledy, the European border
with Rusia.
On Friday, we met up early
in the morning to give our
presentations about
volunteering and work in
each city.
Later on, we started doing
workshop and handicraft.
We also had time to dance
and play table tennis.
In the evening, we met up
with everybody to go to a
typical Polish restaurant.
On Saturday, we travelled 2 hours
from Górowo to Olzstyn, where we
went sightseeing around the town,
visiting famous places as the
Olzstyn Castle, where Copernicus
lived, and the Old Town.We also did
ice skating and we went shopping
too.
At night, we went to Karolina’s
house and we spent a wonderful
time in a outdoor barbecue.
On Sunday, everyone had to
wake up at 4 am (and it was
bitterly cold).
We arrived at the airport in
the morning, spending our
last time with our Comenius
friends.
After an emotional farewell,
we started our way home,
arriving in Málaga at night.
From my point of view, the chance of travelling to Górowo has been
blissful. Even having met many people from several cultures and
languages, I could get through and get along with everyone, meeting
people with many common interests. Although at the beginning of
the trip I was quite nervous, wondering what would I do there, the
mighty kindness and welcoming of the Polish people made me enjoy
the days I stayed there.
