The document provides details for a client proposal for a creative media production management project. The student has been asked to create a 2-3 minute video advertisement for a college photography course to be distributed on the college website and DVD. The video will show interviews with students and the instructor, examples of student work, and the photography department. It will aim to attract new students by showcasing what the course entails. Advertising methods proposed include DVDs, local radio, the college website, and Facebook to reach a wide range of potential 16+ students.

Creative Media Production Management Project
Client proposal
For my Creative media assignment, I have been asked to create a video advertisement to show off a
course provided within college. This video will be put on the college website and distributed via DVD
also. The aim of the video isto show new and potential students what a course entails and provides.
I have chosen to create a video for photography, it’s a course I have studied and enjoyed whole
heartedly. It is also a subject which would and will appeal to a large number of possible students.
With regards to content, it would be appropriate to show an interview with yourself and a few
students. As well as showing some of the students work and a small look around the department.
We would want to keep the video short and sharp just too keep the audiences, if we end up making
it too long we run the risk of making the audience switch off. 2-3 minutes appears to be the
optimum length.

Advertising
Advertisements can be everywhere; newspapers, TV, Busses and bus stops, billboards, etc.
The best way to advertise for us would be through DVD’s, the local radio and on the College website.
Using all these will cover the wide range of potential students. Putting adverts in relevant places to
appeal to 16+is crucial. There would be no point advertising the college on daytime TV when the
majority of potential students will still be at secondary school.
A good place to advertise would be on Facebook. A massive amount of students are on Facebook
and can share it with their friends.
