2. Process
I’ve started my double page first,
because I haven’t yet taken a
picture for my front cover, on my
first page I’ve included the top 5
movies of 2019.
For my article I’ve wrote about
what each film is about and I’ve
included a picture beside each
summary. I’ve also included how
many awards they have been
nominated for in the Oscars, along
with who stars and directs in them.
I’ve tried to space each section
out as best as I could, I had to
shrink the text a bit smaller so
they could all fit on one page so
the text is smaller than what I
would’ve liked but it’s still
readable.
I’ve included a black and gold
color theme and I’ll be doing
the same for the cover, I
thought that the writing and
pictures would stand out more
against a black background
compared to white one.
So far it’s turned out how I imagined,
if I had enough room I would change
the font size so it’s better to read but
I still think it’s suitable for my target
audience
3. Process
For my other page I’ve done the
other 5 best movies of 2019, this
time I’ve wrote less than I did on
my other page so there was space
between each section.
For my Title I thought it would look
good if I spread it across the 2
pages, so the topic continues onto
the other page.
I’ve continued to write about
what the movies are about and
the Oscar nominations, I prefer
this page to my other page just
because it looks more spaced
out compared to the other
one.
I’ve put a Oscar trophy on the
corner of the page because I felt
like the page need a bit more to it
because it looked quite plain, I’ve
also included this on the page as
well.
Instead of square images I’ve included
circles, I thought it would look better and
the text looks better wrapped around the
circle, it’s also easier to space the images
out in a circle as well.
The golden font color of the title I
plan to use the same font for my
front cover, I think it looks good
against the black and it stands out.
4. ProcessI decided to do a single page for my
magazine as well and I’ve made it into
a quote page.
I’ve found some movie quotes from
the 2019 movies, and I’ve placed a
picture from the movie next to the
quote.
I felt that I needed to do more
than include the top 10 movies,
and before I make my front cover
I thought having a quote page
would be good.
I’ve used the same golden font that
I’ve used for my double page as
well as the same color background
so it stays in theme with the rest of
the magazine
I’ll probably include maybe 2 or 3 other
quotes, I want to leave enough space so
it all doesn’t look cramped or squished
together.
5. Process
I’ve included two other
quotes to finish my page of,
I didn’t want to add too
many and make it look all
cramped together.
For the quotation marks I’ve
tried to space them out
equally from each other so
it looks neat.
I’ve tried to make the images
the same size but some
might be bigger than the
other because I tried to
photoshop them the same
size but they kept coming out
bigger each time I tried it.
6. Process
For my main photo that will be on
my front cover I decided to take one
of my friend at the cinema. My
original plan was to take one in the
studio but I thought it would be
more effective to take it in the actual
place.
I plan on placing movie
posters inside the film reel
and I was going to have it
go through the seat in the
main picture, I thought it
would be good to show
reader what will be
featured inside the
magazine.
7. Process
For my front cover, I’ve made a
golden font for my title, so it
matches with my double pages.
For the background I went for
a black one with rays of red
and blue shining from the
bottom, I thought this would
look good against the gold of
the title.
For the main image of the front
cover I plan to take a picture of
someone sat in a chair eating
popcorn, with 3D glasses on. I
plan to take this picture at the
cinema.
I also plan to have a film reel strip
going through the picture with
images of movie posters placed
inside it.
8. Process
For my picture I went to
the cinemas and took it,
I thought it would look
better than doing it in
the studios, sat on a
normal chair.
Behind I made a film reel
and I placed posters of the
movies that will feature in
the magazine, I thought
this would give the reader
an idea of what will be in
it.
I’ve included what will feature in
the magazine, so if the reader
likes one of the titles featured
they’ll hopefully buy it.
I wanted the topic of the
magazine to stand out so people
will be drawn to the font more
than the rest of the writing and
they immediately know what it’s
about.
I’ve included a quote in my
cover as well, because I
thought it looked a bit plain
in that area.
