1. Contingency Plan
Cast Unreliability/Illness:
Due to the nature of the sequence the actorsface will neverappearwithinthe footage- it’ll onlyever
be theirhandswithinafewselectscenes.Therefore,if foranyreasontheycannotattend,are taken
ill or are runninglate theycan easilybe replacedwithafamilymemberthatI’ve ensuredwill be on
handto helpand available.If foranyreasonwe beginfilmingwiththe original castedactorandthey
cannot complete the full scheduledshootingtime,the backupactorhas a similarskintone.
Camera Battery RunningOut:
The equipmentwill gooncharge the eveningbefore the scheduledshootinordertoensure itsfully
charged,as well asensuringwe have accesstothe spare battery.If for anyreasonthey do run out,
the shootinglocationhasmultiplesocketsinordertorecharge.
LightingIssues:
Since I’ll be usingnatural lightsourcestofilmmysequence,thismaybe problematicif it’sabadday
interms of the weather.Therefore,aswell ashavingaccessto indoorlightingsuchasbulbsand
lamps,a familyfriendhasofferedtolendhisphotographybacklights.
Location Unavailability:
AlthoughI’ll be filmingwithinmyownhouse,whichhopefullywillnotcause anyissues as
permissionhasbeenasked.I’ve ensuredthatI’ve gota backuplocationat a friend’shouse witha
similarlayout.
Injury on Set:
A riskassessmenthasbeenputinplace inorderto avoidany accidents,soif forany reasonit istoo
occur the actionssetout as well asthe risk controlsalreadyinplace will be adheredtoo.
FilmingIssues- Background Noise,Disruptionof Shots:
Due to the fact we’ll be filmingwithinahouse the backgroundnoise isalreadylimited;they’ll be no
otherpersononset otherthan crewand cast so shotdisturbancesandnoise factorscausedby
people willnotbe anissue.The shootinglocationisawayfrommainroadsand controllable factors
such as TV andRadiosoundwill be switchedoff.Fortunately,the sequence will notconsistof any
diegeticsound,thereforeif anymajordisturbancestooccurit can be mutedinediting.
Props:
A varietyof propsare usedthroughoutthe sequence thatbelongtothe shootinglocation,if forany
reasonthey’re damagedI’ve ensurethatthey’re easilyreplaceable items- nothingisof anyvalue.

2. Damaged Equipment:
Althoughcare and considerationwillcontinuouslybe usedwithall equipment,if damage istooccur
there isa 2 year warrantyon the camera meaningitcan be replaced.Intermsof the tripodwhich
belongs tothe college,it’ll be checkedoverbefore beinggiventousto ensure there isnoexisting
damage;otherwise I’llhave topayfor a new one.
Time Management:
A projectschedule hasbeenputinplace thatmustbe adheredtoo,if forany reasonI fall behind
withfilmingoreditingthisneedstobe notedsothat I can keepontrack and meetthe deadline.
Lost Footage:
As well asa shotlog beingkeptsothatI can keepontrack of filming,the footagewill be uploadedto
boththe computerharddrive and a pendrive asa backup.Nofootage will be deletedfromthe
camera memorycard until the entire projectiscomplete.
Editing:
A copyof the editwill be savedtoboththe computerhard drive andmy owndocuments;I’ll be
continuouslysavingitwhilstthe projectisopenandI’mactivelyworkingonit.If it becomesobvious
that there’smissingfootageorof bad qualitytwoactionplanswill be putinplace;if it’snoticed
duringearlyeditingthe Ican revisitthe locationandgetnew shots,if it’sinlate editingI’lleitherdo
my bestto tidythe footage inadobe aftereffectormake a change in edit.Continuityproblems
aren’tan issue as each shotcompletelydiffersfromthe nextinthatit’sa new setting.
