In cooperation and support to Division Memorandum No.65, s. 2021
which is the CONDUCT OF THE CY 2021 QUARTERLY NATIONWIDE
SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL AND CELEBRATION OF FIRE PREVENTION
MONTH, the San Pablo Bata Elementary School conducted the NSED on March
11, 2021 at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
The drill started with the ceremonial pressing of the button done via
Facebook live. At exactly 2:00 pm , the teaching force of San Pablo Bata ES
simultaneously practiced the “ Duck, Cover and Hold” procedure in their
respective places. Learners and parents also participated in the drill at the
comfort of their homes. No evacuation drill conducted in observance of minimum
public health standard. The drill focused on advocacy of preparedness.
This activity intensified our preparedness and highlighted our awareness
regarding disaster risk reduction whenever the earthquake occurs. The NSED
strengthen the teachers and the schools management during emergencies
especially earthquake occurrences . Preparedness and mitigation are key
strategies in reducing disaster risk.
