• While studying in Florence was
discovered by Photographer Ugo
Mugla at the age of 20.
• Met Eileen Ford in Paris and joined
Ford Modeling Agency.
• In 1961 moves to NY with a new
attitude. Changes name from Vera
to Verushka.
• ”I am Veruschka, who comes from
the border between Russia,
Germany, and Poland. I’d like to see
what you can do with my face. ”
• Her transformation brought
popularity, at her peak in the 60’s
she made up to $10,000 a day.
• In 1963 she poses for Salvador Dali,
and was first featured in Vogue.
• She also appeared in the 1966 film
Blow Up, and Casino Royale in
2006.
