Market commentary
In today’s trade markets remained volatile throughout the day but ends on a
neutral note. Nifty IT index gained 1.2% in trade with major heavyweights like
Infosys and HCL Tech gaining more than 2% at the close. Market breadth favored
declines with Advance/ Decline ratio closing at 2:3x. Nifty closed in green gaining
0.1% while Nifty Bank gave a sharp recovery in last 30 minutes of trade,
recovering almost everything that it lost during the day. The metal stocks were
buzzing during Monday’s trade as the Nifty Metal Index advanced 1%. NMDC was
the top gainer on the index and the stock was trading higher by over 3%. Nifty IT
Index was trading higher in the afternoon trade. Nifty IT index up by 1.5% and is
the top sectorial gainer today.

2. Stock to Watch for Tuesday

Technical Analysis
The stock was moving down and consolidated and made low of 195.40 last
month. On weekly chart it formed doji candlestick pattern and started to move
up. On Friday it gained around 8 % and so it did today. The stock has crossed its
50 day moving average which is positive signal and it managed to close above it.
Long position can be made above 255 and target will be 286 and stop loss can be
maintained below 224.85.

3. Market Highlights
 Equity benchmarks closed flat after range bound trade as investors await
RBI policy and mid-term review of foreign trade policy. Mirc Electronics
share price fell more than 5 percent intraday after the issue of Rs 144 crore
worth of shares to non-promoters, at lower than current market price.
 Shares of 63 Moons were locked in 5 percent lower circuit after the
Bombay High Court upheld a previous order on its merger with NSEL. The
ministry had passed an order in February 2016 to merge National Spot
Exchange with its parent firm. The merge’s intention was to recover dues of
NSEL scam from 63 Moons. The company had challenged this merger order
with NSEL in the higher courts.
 Tata Motors share price rallied 3 percent intraday Monday following strong
commercial vehicle sales data reported by the company in November.
Commercial vehicle sales increased 71.9 percent year-on-year to 35,307
units in month gone by.
 From the Nifty, the stocks that gained the most were Infosys which
gained 3 percent after the company announced its new MD and CEO
followed by Indiabulls Housing Finance, Zee Entertainment, Hindalco
Industries and Hindustan Unilever.
 The most active stocks were Biocon which zoomed over 11 percent while
Infosys, HDFC, Tata Motors and State Bank of India were the other active
stocks.
