Taken a year out of university to pursue the film festival
Aesthetica started as a magazine that was founded in 2002 before becoming a
film festival.
There was a film competition in 2010 in which 6 winners where included on a
CD which was put in the magazine Set up the film festival after film directors
approached her asking why their short film was not shown, because the did did
not have any space left on it she came up with the idea to create the film festival
where everyone’s work could be shown.
The film festival has reached its 6th year.
Ellie who gave the lecture talked about interview for the job at Aesthetica, she
said that you could go in dressed in smartly but they are a more casual place of
work. A piece of work from the film festival had won an Oscar, which was called
