The Posters I’ve looked at all seem to follow the same
conventions; the main character against a plain
background sometimes with text that raises questions
about the character and surrounds him in mystery.
Since my short is more in line with Spaghetti Westerns,
I’ve decided to look at posters from those films.

I will mostly follow conventions in the creation of my
poster. This will be so my genre is definitely established
and I can convey the particular tone, however, I won’t
follow conventions rigidly.
During shooting and in pre production, I will take
pictures of the actors in costume that I will use for the
poster. I’ll play around with fonts and composition to
create a familiar, but also different style of poster.
How will I create mine?
