Roxanne Missingham is an inspiration to the CLOCKSS team! She is the University Librarian at the Australian National University.
She graduated from ANU with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in pure and applied mathematics and psychology. She added to her undergraduate degree with a Graduate Diploma in Librarian Studies and combined the two when she was selected for the graduate program at the National Library of Australia.
From there a flourishing library career took off which saw her work for CSIRO, Australian Nature Conservation Agency, Department of Environment and the Parliamentary Library before she returned to where it all started, the ANU.

I acknowledge and celebrate the First Australians on
whose traditional lands we meet, and pay our respect
to the elders past and present.
4. Our communications have evolved
The nature of the digital environment is
• Diverse
• Responsibilities are temporary
• Authors are disconnected
• Systems are challenged

5. Print was robust
• Many copies
• A Distributed collection
• Many back up solutions
Digital
• Often one central copy
• Business decisions can cause complete
change – e.g. Microsoft closing books from
their digital store
• Pricing may change access (think of
McMillan)
