My Philosophy of Education is closely related to what the Essentialists and Perennialists believe. Like the Essentialists, I believe there should be a back

believe to be very influential in the way students learn and how they increase their level of knowledge and skills. Students should be grouped by
abilities. When I observed a 4th grade class this semester students were working at their own levels and with other peers at the same level. The
students were working on the exact same subject matter, but the level of difficulty was unique to the individual. The desks were set up in small
groups for the students to work together on material. The students took tests every few months in order for the teacher to examine their level of
learning and place them with the appropriate group and correct learning material. The students improved overall from test to test. No two students are
alike. Working at their own level and with others at the same level increase their ability to learn and increase their level of knowledge to where it
should be.

Progressivism will also be a part of my classroom. The world is constantly changing and as a part of the world we must be able to change with it as
John Dewey, the man responsible for the success of progressivism, realized. Dewey relied on the scientific method to develop his ideas and found
that books are no substitute for actually doing and experiencing in the learning process. I agree with Dewey on this point because in my classroom I
plan to allow students to experience as much as they can first hand. Actually, being part of or performing an experiment helps to teach students
because they are able to apply what they are learning to the real world. This ties in with the essentialist philosophy as well as the behaviorist
philosophy. Progressivism also encourages social interaction between all students. Learning social skills is an important part of the learning process in
school because this is one of the skills that the students will need in the world after school. Having activities and lab experiments in the classroom will
encourage the growth of social skills. I believe that a student should be able to choose some of the classes that he/she is interested in. This is the basis
of the existentialist philosophy that was developed in the nineteenth century. A student should be allowed to choose classes that they are interested in

Every manager must have a set of principles, values, and core beliefs that he must follow. These principles, values, and beliefs make up his
philosophy of management. Webster defines philosophy as "the most basic beliefs, concepts, and attitudes of an individual or group." (Webster) I
will be discussing the principles, values, and beliefs I as a manager will have to do my job efficiently. I will also discuss the different biblical beliefs
that support my management style. I believe in a directive and conceptual decision style. When there is a small problem that requires a quick

A manager is not a babysitter to his staff, and he should not shadow his employees. If there is a dispute between two employees at the workplace,
the manager should let the employees resolve it themselves. If that dispute fails to get resolved and starts to affect the performance of others, then
the manager needs to resolve the dispute for them. This may entail firing the employees involved in the dispute. Adults at the workplace should be
able to resolve disputes themselves without any intervention from the employer. I am going to provide a scenario and what the manager should
do in the scenario. Scenario: A long time employee, Fred, with a perfect attendance record suddenly doesn't show up to work for an entire week.
Fred doesn't notify the employer of the reason for his absence. The employer tries to contact Fred without any success. The employer then
promotes one of his other employees, Mark, to the position that Fred had. After a week Fred returns back to work only to find out that Mark is
doing his job. Fred tries to explain to the manager that his father died and he was too devastated to answer the manager's calls to him. What should
the manager do now? In this scenario, the manager should let Mark keep his promotion and give Fred Mark's old job. Fred should have notified his
manager of his leave if he wanted to keep his position. It would be hard to remove Mark's promotion

On a conscious level, a greater appreciation for philosophical subjects become the result of exposure to such theories. During my research, I came
across the article "The Nature of Morality and Moral Theories" in which I discovered excerpts of philosophical theories and based on this article, I
will briefly mention significant points of four theories. First and foremost, is the theory of Moral Subjectivism, which implies that an individual's
thoughts and feelings determine moral actions; as oppose to a set of moral principles. Following, is the theory Ethical Egoism, which states that
determining right and wrong is in accordance with one's self–interest. Also, that it is immoral to act contrary to one's own self–interest. Thirdly, some
individuals agree that culture determines what actions are morally right or wrong; and are advocates of Cultural Relativism. Their actions are not
guided by a list of moral rules or universal norms. Next, Virtue Ethics claim that "right and wrong are characterized in terms of acting in accordance
