Take a Stand on Bullying
Bullying is a form of verbal and physical abuse that needs to stop. It takes place every day all over
the world. It represents the attacking of someone that is stronger mentally, emotionally and
physically attacking someone that is weaker in all of these fields. Bullying has long term effects on
its victims such as mental and emotional stress that can carry on into the future. Bullying has been
around for a while now. "Bullying is so long established in our society and schools that is often
ignored and considered as "part of normal behavior during growing up"(Dracic, S. 2009)....show

Bullying doesn't always happen at school or in person. A lot of bullying takes place over the
internet. Cyber bullying has been defined as ''willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of
computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices'' (Hinduja & Patchin,
2009). When kids get caught bullying at physically at school they then take it to electronic devices
where it is harder for them to get caught. They produce face accounts on websites to torment and
torture kids that are weaker than them, such as making fake accounts on Facebook or MySpace. In
this study it says "There is a difficulty of detecting the misbehavior, identifying the offending party,
proving of verifying the wrongdoing" (Hinduja, S., &Patchin, J.W. 2010). We need to set rules and
make sure that cyber bullying comes to an end.
People that bully others should face severe consequences. We should have laws and rules that lean
heavily against bullying. I believe that schools should hold more meetings for teachers to educate
kids on the severe outcomes of bullying. Schools are becoming better at educating kids on the
effects of bullying, "Fortunately, schools have strategies to prevent bullying. These strategies are
most effective when they are part of a comprehensive prevention program implemented at the
district, school, and classroom levels. Research indicates that schools can cut bullying by as much as
50% with a comprehensive school wide

Romeo and Juliet Literary Analysis
"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you
courage" (Tzu, Lao). Romeo and Juliet, the story of two families, Capulet and Montague's family
feud which has created lots of fights within the streets of Verona, their children Juliet Capulet and
Romeo Montague fall in love with each other, a love that is certainly forbidden and if their
parents ever found out, how would it end...love between the families or more rivalry? Romeo
changes over the course of the play by being dark and depressed, madly in love and then
mourning over his loss of Juliet. At the beginning of the play Romeo is dark and depressed
because he falls in love with a girl who doesn't have feelings for him, her name, Rosaline. Romeo
has built up his feelings and is crazy for Rosaline who in contrast could care less about anything
to do with Romeo. Rosaline has no intentions to fall in love with Romeo, marry him or have
children with him but Romeo is blinded by his love for her, and refuses to accept this causing him
deep depression. Romeo when talking to his good friend Benvolio, explains his feelings, "Why
such is love's transgression. / Griefs of mine own lie heavy in my breast, / which thou wilt
propagate to have it pressed with more of thine" (Shakespeare1.1.179–182). Romeo is saying that it
is so hard to be in love with Rosaline, he is so much in love with her but there are so many reasons
why he cannot see her and be with her. All he can think about is Rosaline,

Industrial Revolution Essay
"No person will make a great business who wants to do it all himself or get all the credit."
(Carnegie) One of the major characteristics that define the success of this Golden age was that of the
onset of the multitude of inventions that played a major role in the reformation of agriculture and
lifestyle. The transformation of the United States into an industrial nation took place largely after the
Civil War and on the Britsih model. Although theIndustrial Revolution brought many positive
inventions, the class divisions were obvious because the workers were paid at horrible wages. The

There were men who worked in factories who were not payed very much, but did earn more than
the women who worked in the factories. " ...women recieved $4 a week for work for which men

were in were horrible. It was often unsanitary, and education suffered because of the demands of
work. With workers barely making any money, there were many poor families who struggled to
make a living.
As the Industrial Revolution era progressed, social divisions in America became more apparent. The
upper class basically had what they wanted and did not have to worry about not affording anything.
The upper–class made their money in new industries, such as steel, mining, or railroads. There were
many rich Americans who were selfish with their money, but some wealthy people did support

Essay On Stalingrad
The battle between Russia and Germany in the summer of 1941 is known as the largest land theatre
of war in history. It was the most horrific war of all time. Stalingrad was called Tsaritsyn until 1925,
it was then renamed Stalingrad in honor of Josef Stalin. The cities name was changed again in 1961
to Volgograd, meaning Volga City. This monumental battle is considered a turning point in the war
on the Eastern Front. The invading Gerans saw the conquering of Stalingrad as essential to their
campaign in Russia, because from this strategic point on the Volga River they could launch further
assaults in the Caucasus. The Russians were determined to defend the city in any way as an
important industrial and transportation center. Stalingrad stretched...show more content...
Army Group South under Field Marshal Fedor von Bock would undertake the offensive. On June

Hitler was stubborn and made poor decisions, was not prepared for the war, and had bad timing.
Hitler was stubborn and made poor decisions and assumption. Stalingrad, located in Southwest
Russia on the Volga River was a major industrial city and a communication center for theSoviet
Union, and was also named after the Soviet leader Josef Stalin. This made the city important to Stalin
and also important to Hitler because he hated Stalin. The turning point of the battle came with a huge
Soviet counteroffensive (code–named Operation Uranus) which was planned by Generals Georgy
Konstantinovich Zhukov, Nikolay Nikolayevich Voronov, and Aleksandr Mikhailovich Vasilevsky.
It was launched in two spearheads, about 50 miles north and south of the German salient with
Stalingrad at the tip. The counteroffensive surprised the Germans, because they thought the Soviets

2000 Word Essay on Disrespecting an NCO by SPC BUTLER On November 21, I received a
negative counseling for disrespecting a Non Commissioned Officer, though it was warranted by
a series of events I didn't agree with I should have found a more appropriate way to voice my
concerns. The online dictionary defines disrespect as an expression of lack of respect and a
fashion that is generally disrespectful and contemptuous. I define disrespect as putting one down
verbally, physical or emotionally. In this essay I will be talking about the research I did on article
88 and 91 of the uniformed code of military justice. Disrespect and insubordination in the army
affects the ability of a unit to maintain discipline and order. The uniformed code of...show more

It could also cause the soldier not to have a chance to exceed or grow as a soldier or a leader such
as go to schools, warrior leaders' course, or even the promotion board. Disrespect also could be
viewed by jumping the chain of command or the NCO support channel. Non Commissioned
Officers are literately the backbone of the military even as it says in the NCO creed. The NCOs
do countless jobs that are not totally acknowledged. Sometimes non commissioned officers help
soldiers in many ways and sometimes do not require acknowledgement except to see the soldier
strive to success. The NCO corps has to demand respect from everyone lower then them. Because
they are the leaders they have to increase moral and to motivate soldiers to do their best. We all
have a job to do and we as soldiers we have to know what we are doing and willing to do it. So the
moral of the soldiers is important otherwise nothing would ever get done. And with that the NCO
also motivates the soldiers. And motivation drives the soldier to do their best and get the task, job,
mission done proficiently and in a timely manner. No matter the circumstance, whether you agree or
not, you are not allowed to talk back, physically fight back, or question judgment. The importance of
maintaining correct protocol and military bearing on and off duty is essential because to show
disrespect to an NCO when in uniform could cause disrespect among civilians about the military in
general. Any

Assume a consumption function that takes on the following algebraic form: C = $100 + .8Y.
Assume that Y = $1000 what is the level of consumption at this income level.
C = $100 + .8($1000) = $100 + $800 = $900.
1. Using the above figure calculate the marginal propensity to consume between the aggregate
income levels of $80 and $100. Also explain why this consumption function is linear.
The marginal propensity to consume is equal to $15/$20 = .75. The consumption function is linear
because the marginal propensity to consume is constant and therefore the slope is the same
throughout all income levels.
2. Assume consumption is represented by the following: C = 400 + .75Y. Also assume that planned

Therefore, if people have more money then they are likely to purchase more goods – potentially
ones from our country, thus exports will rise and the value of net exports will increase. If disposable
income abroad is low then exports will fall and the value of net exports will fall.
Disposable income at home. This refers to how much money people at home have available to
spend on luxuries. The more money people have at home, the likelier they are to spend – which can
result in a rise in imports. Rising imports will have a negative effect on net exports on the overall
aggregate demand. Vice versa.
Exchange rates. These play a large part in the value of net exports. A fall in a countries exchange
rate will reduce the price of exports and raise the price of imports, thus exports should rise and
imports fall – resulting in an increase in net exports. A rise in a countries exchange rate will raise
the price of exports and make imports cheaper, therefore making exports fall and imports rise. The
overall effect will be a fall in net exports.
8. Explain the accelerator theory.
The accelerator effect is when an increase in national income results in a proportionately larger rise
in investment

First Isaiah Research Paper
The First Isaiah, or the Isaiah of Jerusalem, was an extremely important prophet who wrote chapters
1–39 in the book of Isaiah. Located in Judah near Jerusalem "before the Babylonian exile", which
was around 740 BC, Isaiah grew up in a generally wealthy family at the time (Newland 163; Miller
92; Brown 76). He was educated and could write very well, and was called to be a prophet later in
his life (Newland 164). However, society at this time was extremely corrupt, and the people
committed many sins, such as idolatry. Isaiah became a prophet when he had a "vision" and saw God
as king in a temple along with His "seraphs" or angels serving Him (Miller 96–97). Isaiah was
astonished, as he felt "unclean" due to the fact that he was from such a corrupt...show more content...
He uses the juxtaposition of his friend and God, as well as the juxtaposition of the loved one and
the people of Judah. He compares his friends' loved one to a "vineyard on a fertile hillside"
because during that time period, "a lover compared to a garden... [was] found in Samerian and
Akkadian texts" (Is. 5:2; Walton 25). Relating the story to something that people were familiar
with allowed them to have a better understanding of the message of the story. Also, farming took
up a major part in people's lives in Israel, so that was a part of the culture and lifestyle at the time.
Isaiah's friend "planted the choicest of vines" and "within [the vineyard] he built a watchtower"
to make sure that the grapes were growing right and were not damaged or disrupted, just like God
watches over us to make sure that we are not sinning or becoming corrupted (Is. 5:2). Isaiah's
friend "looked for the crop of grapes, but what it yielded was wild grapes", which meant that he
saw his plants disobeying what he wanted them to do and what he wanted them to become (Is. 5:2).
This is related to how when God looked to see what the people in Judah were doing, He saw that
they were not following His teachings. The

Food, health and medical technologies have a large impact on individuals and communities today
and in the future. Throughout this paper, discussion will involve the issues that society faces
regarding food and health and how we can create a healthier and safer world for our future.
The food industry has a large impact on individuals and will affect wider communities in the
future. The rush of today's society has pushed food production to become more commercialized
with prepackaged/premade based foods. For numerous reasons such as time, work and costs of
living, people are wanting meals that are cheap, fast, easy and don't require much effort. This is due

place in order to reduce the effects of this health issue. A few examples of this are: Creating more

impact on society.
Medical technology is advancing at a rapid rate. For example, a very common procedure is an
endoscopy and colonoscopy which checks for bowel and stomach cancers and some other
conditions. New technology is being trialed at the moment, instead of a patient going under an
anesthetic and having to have a special diet and bowel preparation prior to the procedure, this will
now be done by taking a capsule in a tablet like form where the patient will swallow the capsule that
contains a tiny camera and batteries and then be later eliminated by the patients natural bowel
movements. This is swallowed by the patient and will travel through the gastro intestinal system,

5 Senses Effects Food
Food is not a want it is a necessity. However, in today's society we have evolved beyond eating to
survive and progressed to eating for pleasure. We no longer limit ourselves to family meals at home.
Instead the majority of the population tends to enjoy gathering family and friends and going out for
a dining experience. When dining out, the food itself is not the only factor to determining whether or
not the meal was pleasing. The atmosphere, the visual, the taste, and the smell have all become key
components in deciding whether or not a mean out is enjoyable. With these things in mind, on a rain

Ready to eat, I loaded my fork and shoved it into my mouth. My mouth slightly watered in pure
satisfaction. The eclectic tastes within my mouth molded together to serve as the perfect
combination. Once I had completely finished my meal I began to take note of the surroundings.
Throughout my meal my friends and I sang along to several of the songs playing within the
restaurant. A few of the songs were older and took us back to our childhood, to the days of
playing tag and jump rope in the schoolyard, such as "Hit Me Baby One More Time," by Britney
Spears, and "Wannabe," by the Spice Girls. Other songs were a bit more recent and were current
hits, and a few more were songs that were not memorable. As mentioned before the restaurant
style in itself is homelike in the dining section. It is very apparent that customer satisfaction is a
high priority of the restaurant. The bar area however, is sports orientated. I took note of the fact
that every television set that was on within the restaurant had a sports event on. On the television
set directly in front of me a Tampa Bay Ray's game was on and in the bar area it seemed to be the
game that was drawing the most attention. An assortment of Ray's jersey's could be seen from my
seat, and there was absolutely no doubt about the fact that you indeed were in Tampa. With the
slightly dimmed lighting it gave an overall tranquil frame of mind. At the beginning of time it

Personal Reflection Paper On Working
Throughout this essay, I reflect on the semester that I had whilst undertaking 2031HSV Working in
Organisations. Topics are discussed such as, new areas I encountered, skills and knowledge I have
that I was previously unaware of, as well as the challenges that I faced throughout the semester.
Firstly within this essay, I would like to discuss areas that were new to me throughout this course. I
believe that working in groups will be extremely beneficial throughout my future social work career.
However, working within such a large group (group of 11 people) was an extremely different concept
than what I was accustomed to. I found throughout my reflection upon the semester that working in
large groups (in contrast to working individually) posed many positive and negative qualities.
Beginning with the strengths I recognised and rejoiced in the fact that there was a variety of
different people that I had the perfect opportunity to get to know better. As the semester advanced, I
become familiarised to each individual's strengths and weaknesses within the group, as well as my
own. As a group we were able to thrive of the different experiences and expertise that other member
could bring to the group, as well as compensate for other group members skill limitations with an
empathetic and non–judgmental attitude. Thus overall making the group that I was assigned to, a
very enjoyable group of people. As stated previously large group work, is a new concept to me,

10 000 Years Research Paper
In the eyes of humanity, 10 000 years is a lifetime long enough to document the passing of
civilizations and an fathomable amount of generations but to the Earth, 10 000 years are but a tick
of the clock. The Earth in ten millennia may seem to be an impossibly long period of time, but it is
in fact a miniscule period of geological time. A time frame of this size, withouthuman intervention,
drives almost no major change. The continents stay intact, ecosystems continue to thrive and polar

the change in the world, with urbanization and climate change appearing from the last couple of
decades that serve to be the main catalysts in the ever growing expansion of this human–dominated

To fully understand the projection of human development over prolonged amounts of time, we must
first comprehend the progression of humanity from the same amount of time into the past. 10 000
years ago, the world population was around 5 million, most of whom were around the Fertile

Leroy Clarke: African Utamawazo
As a famous painter, Leroy Clarke practices a form of art using strong symbolism to be used as a
method of expression in the African Utamawazo. Leroy Clarke hated limits and could not accept
being restricted to only one form of art. This included the artistry for painting, poetry and dance,
which are all conformed, in some way, to one mode of expression that was originally created by the

1000 Words on Accountability
Accountability is defined by department of defense as the obligation imposed by a law or lawful
order or regulation on an officer or other person for keeping an accurate record of government
property, documents or funds. The numerical end product of personnel accountability process
reflects the combat power of a unit. So what is Personnel accountability exactly? Personnel
accountability is a by name tracking system that manages the duty status and location of every single
soldier assigned or attached to a unit. This tracking system also tracks the soldiers as they arrive to
the unit, and depart from the unit for duty. Personnel accountability must be maintained at all times,
for an inaccurate count will lead to disastrous outcomes....show more content...
Therefore, it reflects poorly on the commander in charge of the task. Which leads to punishment
of the leadership in charge of the soldiers who did not report and were not accurately accounted
for. Accountability for personnel aids in the accessing of a unit's assets and combat readiness is
called personnel strength reporting. Personnel strength reporting is a command function that
enables a unit as a whole, to analyze the manning levels and readiness to provide commanders with
a snapshot of the unit's combat power and capabilities. The formula to achieve a Personnel
Strength report is achieved by comparing the by name data obtained during the Personnel
accountability process and face it against the specified authorizations to determine the percentage
of the slots filled for certain positions within a unit. Even though Strength reporting seems to be
only important for the deployment process one has to think of the capabilities of each and every
by name soldier within the unit, if the soldiers do not report to training how will they every be
prepared for when it comes to combat situations. So therefore even in garrison we need to maintain
accurate numbers on the soldiers accounted for. If the numbers are inaccurate in garrison, what is it
to say when it comes to combat situations? How will soldiers know how to perform their duties
while they are in combat if they did not attend the specified training that is there

Essay on Military Wear and Appearance
In this essay I will describe the many requirements and expectations set forth in the army's AR670–1.
I will describe the importance of obedience to it and cite many of it's detailed descriptions. I am
writing this essay because I failed to meet the standards asked of me me by both these regulations,
and my leadership. I accept the responsibility of my actions and will not let my failure recur, nor
will I let my fellow soldiers repeat my mistake. Since my failure was in regards to grooming or
personal additions to uniform, I thought it would be pertinent to cover these subjects most
thoroughly, If any additional information is required of me I will add on to this. When a man

Also, articles should not protrude from pockets or have a bulky appearance. The regulation provides
guidance for all men and women in the army to keep this high standard of appearance. Army
regulation does not just stop with the uniform, it also includes hair, nails, cosmetics, jewelry,
religious articles, eyewear, tattoos, and ID tags. Although all of AR670–1 is important to follow, I
will start with the army grooming standards, due to my failure to follow these set standards. When
considering a change in hairstyle, as I did, it would be wise for anyone to review AR670–1 to
prevent assignments such as this. On top of following these guidelines, consultation with ones
leadership would be a smart measure. A general grooming standard is important to maintain
certain uniformity within the military. Although many hairstyles are acceptable, they must be
neat and conservative. Since it is impossible to address every acceptable hairstyle or whether it is
considered conservative or not, it is the responsibility of leaders at all levels to demonstrate

  • 1. Essay Take a Stand Bullying Take a Stand Essay Tarik El–Ali University Success 103 September 24, 2011 Monte McKay Take a Stand on Bullying Bullying is a form of verbal and physical abuse that needs to stop. It takes place every day all over the world. It represents the attacking of someone that is stronger mentally, emotionally and physically attacking someone that is weaker in all of these fields. Bullying has long term effects on its victims such as mental and emotional stress that can carry on into the future. Bullying has been around for a while now. "Bullying is so long established in our society and schools that is often ignored and considered as "part of normal behavior during growing up"(Dracic, S. 2009)....show more content... Bullying doesn't always happen at school or in person. A lot of bullying takes place over the internet. Cyber bullying has been defined as ''willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices'' (Hinduja & Patchin, 2009). When kids get caught bullying at physically at school they then take it to electronic devices where it is harder for them to get caught. They produce face accounts on websites to torment and torture kids that are weaker than them, such as making fake accounts on Facebook or MySpace. In this study it says "There is a difficulty of detecting the misbehavior, identifying the offending party, proving of verifying the wrongdoing" (Hinduja, S., &Patchin, J.W. 2010). We need to set rules and make sure that cyber bullying comes to an end. People that bully others should face severe consequences. We should have laws and rules that lean heavily against bullying. I believe that schools should hold more meetings for teachers to educate kids on the severe outcomes of bullying. Schools are becoming better at educating kids on the effects of bullying, "Fortunately, schools have strategies to prevent bullying. These strategies are most effective when they are part of a comprehensive prevention program implemented at the district, school, and classroom levels. Research indicates that schools can cut bullying by as much as 50% with a comprehensive school wide Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 3. Romeo and Juliet Literary Analysis "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage" (Tzu, Lao). Romeo and Juliet, the story of two families, Capulet and Montague's family feud which has created lots of fights within the streets of Verona, their children Juliet Capulet and Romeo Montague fall in love with each other, a love that is certainly forbidden and if their parents ever found out, how would it end...love between the families or more rivalry? Romeo changes over the course of the play by being dark and depressed, madly in love and then mourning over his loss of Juliet. At the beginning of the play Romeo is dark and depressed because he falls in love with a girl who doesn't have feelings for him, her name, Rosaline. Romeo has built up his feelings and is crazy for Rosaline who in contrast could care less about anything to do with Romeo. Rosaline has no intentions to fall in love with Romeo, marry him or have children with him but Romeo is blinded by his love for her, and refuses to accept this causing him deep depression. Romeo when talking to his good friend Benvolio, explains his feelings, "Why such is love's transgression. / Griefs of mine own lie heavy in my breast, / which thou wilt propagate to have it pressed with more of thine" (Shakespeare1.1.179–182). Romeo is saying that it is so hard to be in love with Rosaline, he is so much in love with her but there are so many reasons why he cannot see her and be with her. • 4. Industrial Revolution Essay "No person will make a great business who wants to do it all himself or get all the credit." (Carnegie) One of the major characteristics that define the success of this Golden age was that of the onset of the multitude of inventions that played a major role in the reformation of agriculture and lifestyle. The transformation of the United States into an industrial nation took place largely after the Civil War and on the Britsih model. Although theIndustrial Revolution brought many positive inventions, the class divisions were obvious because the workers were paid at horrible wages. The Industrial Revolution, wages, and class divisions were all part of the economic power. The Industrial Revolution started in Great Britain, and...show more content... There were men who worked in factories who were not payed very much, but did earn more than the women who worked in the factories. " ...women recieved $4 a week for work for which men were paid $16 a week." (Goldfield 60) Weekly men made less than $20. The conditions the workers were in were horrible. It was often unsanitary, and education suffered because of the demands of work. With workers barely making any money, there were many poor families who struggled to make a living. As the Industrial Revolution era progressed, social divisions in America became more apparent. The upper class basically had what they wanted and did not have to worry about not affording anything. The upper–class made their money in new industries, such as steel, mining, or railroads. There were many rich Americans who were selfish with their money, but some wealthy people did support social causes. "...had escaped military service in the Civil war by paying $300 to a substitute."(Zinn) The middle–class consisted of professionals, lawyers, physicians, editors, and editors. "This newer middle–class set national trends in residential patterns, consumptions, and leisure."(Goldfield 76) The middle–class were able to live in all–electric homes, with indoor plumbing, and appliances that made food preparation easier. • 5. Essay On Stalingrad The battle between Russia and Germany in the summer of 1941 is known as the largest land theatre of war in history. It was the most horrific war of all time. Stalingrad was called Tsaritsyn until 1925, it was then renamed Stalingrad in honor of Josef Stalin. The cities name was changed again in 1961 to Volgograd, meaning Volga City. This monumental battle is considered a turning point in the war on the Eastern Front. The invading Gerans saw the conquering of Stalingrad as essential to their campaign in Russia, because from this strategic point on the Volga River they could launch further assaults in the Caucasus. Hitler was stubborn and made poor decisions and assumption. Stalingrad, located in Southwest Russia on the Volga River was a major industrial city and a communication center for theSoviet Union, and was also named after the Soviet leader Josef Stalin. This made the city important to Stalin and also important to Hitler because he hated Stalin. The turning point of the battle came with a huge Soviet counteroffensive (code–named Operation Uranus) which was planned by Generals Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov, Nikolay Nikolayevich Voronov, and Aleksandr Mikhailovich Vasilevsky. It was launched in two spearheads, about 50 miles north and south of the German salient with Stalingrad at the tip. • 6. 5000 word essay 2000 Word Essay on Disrespecting an NCO by SPC BUTLER On November 21, I received a negative counseling for disrespecting a Non Commissioned Officer, though it was warranted by a series of events I didn't agree with I should have found a more appropriate way to voice my concerns. The online dictionary defines disrespect as an expression of lack of respect and a fashion that is generally disrespectful and contemptuous. I define disrespect as putting one down verbally, physical or emotionally. In this essay I will be talking about the research I did on article 88 and 91 of the uniformed code of military justice. Disrespect and insubordination in the army affects the ability of a unit to maintain discipline and order. The uniformed code of...show more content... It could also cause the soldier not to have a chance to exceed or grow as a soldier or a leader such as go to schools, warrior leaders' course, or even the promotion board. Disrespect also could be viewed by jumping the chain of command or the NCO support channel. Non Commissioned Officers are literately the backbone of the military even as it says in the NCO creed. The NCOs do countless jobs that are not totally acknowledged. Sometimes non commissioned officers help soldiers in many ways and sometimes do not require acknowledgement except to see the soldier strive to success. The NCO corps has to demand respect from everyone lower then them. Because they are the leaders they have to increase moral and to motivate soldiers to do their best. We all have a job to do and we as soldiers we have to know what we are doing and willing to do it. So the moral of the soldiers is important otherwise nothing would ever get done. And with that the NCO also motivates the soldiers. And motivation drives the soldier to do their best and get the task, job, mission done proficiently and in a timely manner. No matter the circumstance, whether you agree or not, you are not allowed to talk back, physically fight back, or question judgment. The importance of maintaining correct protocol and military bearing on and off duty is essential because to show disrespect to an NCO when in uniform could cause disrespect among civilians about the military in general. • 7. Economics Assume a consumption function that takes on the following algebraic form: C = $100 + .8Y. Assume that Y = $1000 what is the level of consumption at this income level. C = $100 + .8($1000) = $100 + $800 = $900. 1. Using the above figure calculate the marginal propensity to consume between the aggregate income levels of $80 and $100. Also explain why this consumption function is linear. The marginal propensity to consume is equal to $15/$20 = .75. The consumption function is linear because the marginal propensity to consume is constant and therefore the slope is the same throughout all income levels. 2. Assume consumption is represented by the following: C = 400 + .75Y. Also assume that planned ...show more content... Therefore, if people have more money then they are likely to purchase more goods – potentially ones from our country, thus exports will rise and the value of net exports will increase. If disposable income abroad is low then exports will fall and the value of net exports will fall. Disposable income at home. This refers to how much money people at home have available to spend on luxuries. The more money people have at home, the likelier they are to spend – which can result in a rise in imports. Rising imports will have a negative effect on net exports on the overall aggregate demand. Vice versa. Exchange rates. These play a large part in the value of net exports. A fall in a countries exchange rate will reduce the price of exports and raise the price of imports, thus exports should rise and imports fall – resulting in an increase in net exports. A rise in a countries exchange rate will raise the price of exports and make imports cheaper, therefore making exports fall and imports rise. The overall effect will be a fall in net exports. 8. • 8. First Isaiah Research Paper The First Isaiah, or the Isaiah of Jerusalem, was an extremely important prophet who wrote chapters 1–39 in the book of Isaiah. Located in Judah near Jerusalem "before the Babylonian exile", which was around 740 BC, Isaiah grew up in a generally wealthy family at the time (Newland 163; Miller 92; Brown 76). He was educated and could write very well, and was called to be a prophet later in his life (Newland 164). However, society at this time was extremely corrupt, and the people committed many sins, such as idolatry. Isaiah became a prophet when he had a "vision" and saw God as king in a temple along with His "seraphs" or angels serving Him (Miller 96–97). Isaiah was astonished, as he felt "unclean" due to the fact that he was from such a corrupt...show more content... He uses the juxtaposition of his friend and God, as well as the juxtaposition of the loved one and the people of Judah. He compares his friends' loved one to a "vineyard on a fertile hillside" because during that time period, "a lover compared to a garden... [was] found in Samerian and Akkadian texts" (Is. 5:2; Walton 25). Relating the story to something that people were familiar with allowed them to have a better understanding of the message of the story. Also, farming took up a major part in people's lives in Israel, so that was a part of the culture and lifestyle at the time. Isaiah's friend "planted the choicest of vines" and "within [the vineyard] he built a watchtower" to make sure that the grapes were growing right and were not damaged or disrupted, just like God watches over us to make sure that we are not sinning or becoming corrupted (Is. 5:2). Isaiah's friend "looked for the crop of grapes, but what it yielded was wild grapes", which meant that he saw his plants disobeying what he wanted them to do and what he wanted them to become (Is. 5:2). This is related to how when God looked to see what the people in Judah were doing, He saw that they were not following His teachings. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Throughout this paper, discussion will involve the issues that society faces regarding food and health and how we can create a healthier and safer world for our future. The food industry has a large impact on individuals and will affect wider communities in the future. The rush of today's society has pushed food production to become more commercialized with prepackaged/premade based foods. However, in today's society we have evolved beyond eating to survive and progressed to eating for pleasure. We no longer limit ourselves to family meals at home. Instead the majority of the population tends to enjoy gathering family and friends and going out for a dining experience. When dining out, the food itself is not the only factor to determining whether or not the meal was pleasing. The atmosphere, the visual, the taste, and the smell have all become key components in deciding whether or not a mean out is enjoyable. With these things in mind, on a rain Saturday afternoon two of my friends accompanied me to the casual dining restaurant, Applebee's. I was there for one...show more content... Ready to eat, I loaded my fork and shoved it into my mouth. My mouth slightly watered in pure satisfaction. The eclectic tastes within my mouth molded together to serve as the perfect combination. Once I had completely finished my meal I began to take note of the surroundings. Throughout my meal my friends and I sang along to several of the songs playing within the restaurant. A few of the songs were older and took us back to our childhood, to the days of playing tag and jump rope in the schoolyard, such as "Hit Me Baby One More Time," by Britney Spears, and "Wannabe," by the Spice Girls. Other songs were a bit more recent and were current hits, and a few more were songs that were not memorable. As mentioned before the restaurant style in itself is homelike in the dining section. It is very apparent that customer satisfaction is a high priority of the restaurant. The bar area however, is sports orientated. I took note of the fact that every television set that was on within the restaurant had a sports event on. On the television set directly in front of me a Tampa Bay Ray's game was on and in the bar area it seemed to be the game that was drawing the most attention. An assortment of Ray's jersey's could be seen from my seat, and there was absolutely no doubt about the fact that you indeed were in Tampa. Topics are discussed such as, new areas I encountered, skills and knowledge I have that I was previously unaware of, as well as the challenges that I faced throughout the semester. Firstly within this essay, I would like to discuss areas that were new to me throughout this course. I believe that working in groups will be extremely beneficial throughout my future social work career. However, working within such a large group (group of 11 people) was an extremely different concept than what I was accustomed to. I found throughout my reflection upon the semester that working in large groups (in contrast to working individually) posed many positive and negative qualities. Beginning with the strengths I recognised and rejoiced in the fact that there was a variety of different people that I had the perfect opportunity to get to know better. As the semester advanced, I become familiarised to each individual's strengths and weaknesses within the group, as well as my own. As a group we were able to thrive of the different experiences and expertise that other member could bring to the group, as well as compensate for other group members skill limitations with an empathetic and non–judgmental attitude. Thus overall making the group that I was assigned to, a very enjoyable group of people. As stated previously large group work, is a new concept to me, therefore the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 14. 10 000 Years Research Paper In the eyes of humanity, 10 000 years is a lifetime long enough to document the passing of civilizations and an fathomable amount of generations but to the Earth, 10 000 years are but a tick of the clock. The Earth in ten millennia may seem to be an impossibly long period of time, but it is in fact a miniscule period of geological time. A time frame of this size, withouthuman intervention, drives almost no major change. The continents stay intact, ecosystems continue to thrive and polar ice caps remain below subliminal temperatures. It is the development of our existence that has driven the change in the world, with urbanization and climate change appearing from the last couple of decades that serve to be the main catalysts in the ever growing expansion of this human–dominated planet. To fully understand the projection of human development over prolonged amounts of time, we must first comprehend the progression of humanity from the same amount of time into the past. 10 000 years ago, the world population was around 5 million, most of whom were around the Fertile Crescent just east of the Mediterranean. In this area, agriculture and the breeding of livestock have just been popularized and utilized throughout the land. These applied skills spread to other hotspots of human...show more content... Sustained for ten millennia, there will be a cumulative effect and oceans will likely become toxic, and thus inhabitable, for the majority of animal species. Even something as organic and natural as human fecal matter can result in major outbreaks of disease in ocean life, and decimate a population. If fertilizer use does not change the ocean chemistry enough to extinguish all marine life, pollution will likely finish the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 18. 1000 Words on Accountability Accountability is defined by department of defense as the obligation imposed by a law or lawful order or regulation on an officer or other person for keeping an accurate record of government property, documents or funds. The numerical end product of personnel accountability process reflects the combat power of a unit. So what is Personnel accountability exactly? Personnel accountability is a by name tracking system that manages the duty status and location of every single soldier assigned or attached to a unit. This tracking system also tracks the soldiers as they arrive to the unit, and depart from the unit for duty. Personnel accountability must be maintained at all times, for an inaccurate count will lead to disastrous outcomes....show more content... Therefore, it reflects poorly on the commander in charge of the task. Which leads to punishment of the leadership in charge of the soldiers who did not report and were not accurately accounted for. Accountability for personnel aids in the accessing of a unit's assets and combat readiness is called personnel strength reporting. Personnel strength reporting is a command function that enables a unit as a whole, to analyze the manning levels and readiness to provide commanders with a snapshot of the unit's combat power and capabilities. The formula to achieve a Personnel Strength report is achieved by comparing the by name data obtained during the Personnel accountability process and face it against the specified authorizations to determine the percentage of the slots filled for certain positions within a unit. Even though Strength reporting seems to be only important for the deployment process one has to think of the capabilities of each and every by name soldier within the unit, if the soldiers do not report to training how will they every be prepared for when it comes to combat situations. So therefore even in garrison we need to maintain accurate numbers on the soldiers accounted for. If the numbers are inaccurate in garrison, what is it to say when it comes to combat situations? How will soldiers know how to perform their duties while they are in combat if they did not attend the specified training that is there Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Essay on Military Wear and Appearance In this essay I will describe the many requirements and expectations set forth in the army's AR670–1. I will describe the importance of obedience to it and cite many of it's detailed descriptions. I am writing this essay because I failed to meet the standards asked of me me by both these regulations, and my leadership. I accept the responsibility of my actions and will not let my failure recur, nor will I let my fellow soldiers repeat my mistake. Since my failure was in regards to grooming or personal additions to uniform, I thought it would be pertinent to cover these subjects most thoroughly, If any additional information is required of me I will add on to this. When a man volunteers for the army he agrees to follow a set of...show more content... Also, articles should not protrude from pockets or have a bulky appearance. The regulation provides guidance for all men and women in the army to keep this high standard of appearance. Army regulation does not just stop with the uniform, it also includes hair, nails, cosmetics, jewelry, religious articles, eyewear, tattoos, and ID tags. Although all of AR670–1 is important to follow, I will start with the army grooming standards, due to my failure to follow these set standards. When considering a change in hairstyle, as I did, it would be wise for anyone to review AR670–1 to prevent assignments such as this. On top of following these guidelines, consultation with ones leadership would be a smart measure. A general grooming standard is important to maintain certain uniformity within the military. Although many hairstyles are acceptable, they must be neat and conservative. Since it is impossible to address every acceptable hairstyle or whether it is considered conservative or not, it is the responsibility of leaders at all levels to demonstrate proper judgment on the enforcement of the standards. For men, it must have a tapered appearance, not fall over the ears, eyebrows, or touch the back of the collar, except for the closely cut hair on the back of the neck. Men are not authorized to have dreadlocks or cornrows. Hair that is clipped closely or shaved to the scalp is permitted. Sideburns will be neatly trimmed and not flared and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
