Helped open new stores as a Burger King Assistant Manager and Express
Depot Store Manager including obtaining proper permits for liqour sales,
preparing for health inspections, setting up new equipment, etc Participated
in a full store remodel at WalMart #189 in Kirksville, MO in May 2004
Transferred to WalMart #4475 in Olathe, KS in March 2008 which was still in
construction. There I helped to hire and train an initial crew of 400 new
associates in the WalMart Culture Have attended Food School, Leadership
101, various Diversity events and other training programs sponsored by
WalMart as well as food and sanitation training through Burger King and
Hardees Was a Management Training Sponsor for approximately 20 new
Assistant Managers at WalMart #189 in 2004 and 2005. At Walmart #4475 I
was in charge of a new program for WalMart called Ship from Store.
Through this program we worked as an extension of walmart.com and
shipped product directly from our location to customers around the world
through FedEx. This program generated $50-$70,000 per week for our store
and involved the management of 18-20 associates on top of my regular
Assistant Manager duties. I have lead numerous large projects during my
Walmart career such as a Backroom refresh, Action Alley updates, Black
Friday sales, remodels, CAP implementation (for which we lead the market
and received praise from the regional champion), Topstock, etc.
