2. Rolling in the deep - Adele
My idea refers to Goodwins 2nd music video theory as there will be a
relationship between the lyrics and the visuals as this song sounds to
be about a breakup between the singer and someone else.
How I plan to make the music video is by having someone (male or
female) play the singer. They will be isolated in a darkened room with a
spotlight in the centre with a bath (or something that resembles one) in
the centre. Symbolic of washing away the past relations they had. They
will be clothed.
4. I hate u, I love u – Gnash ft Olivia O’brien
My idea would use Goodwins 3rd music video
theory with a relationship with the music and
visuals shown by a dance of two people showing
conflicting feelings, as well as cinematic shots
similar to the ones in the video which can be done
anywhere such as a graveyard
For the dance a dark room with a few warm lights
will be on the dancers, the room will need a
wooden floor. The cinematic shots can be done
around a graveyard, or possibly in a woodland
area. The dance itself would only like up 2 minutes
of the song so the cinematic parts will be used to
fill in the extra time not covered by the dance.
5. Pretty Hurts - Beyoncé
This idea would relate to Goodwins 5th music
video theory as the song is to do with image
and how people struggle to make themselves
physically appealing for modern society
demands. So having a reference to notion of
looking and voyeurism, would be best way to
show the message that the artist was trying to
show.
How this would be done would be to show
both a male and female struggling to fit in and
being shown alone and slightly depressed.
