• My job role is to scope the mechanical maintenance work within my designated
area, plan the work in SAP, prepare the work packs which include Permit
Requests, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Report sheets and transport
to Excel, the daily schedule when requested.
• ORGANISE the Monthly Inspection Dept Work-scope (IWS) Meeting. This is to
agree end dates by understanding the Engineering and Sub-Contractor restraints
which we may meet when undertaking the IWS requirements.
• SAFETY COMMITTEE; I am a member of the Zone 3 Safety Committee where
the Quarterly Safety Minutes are reviewed, the progress on issues discussed ,and
new actions implemented.
This role includes liaison with the Inspection Department, Area Engineers, Supervision, Area
Safety Advisors, Operations Department and Outside Contractors. Within this role, there is a
huge emphasis on the use of SAP database which is supported by the use of Outlook, Word
Processing, and spreadsheets. I am responsible for the planning of the Statutory Inspections on
our equipment and the implementation of these and the Routine Equipment Inspections.
Experienced in reading and understanding the P&ID’S which I use on a daily basis for providing
information to the various contractor and maintenance teams we use on the Refinery.
I currently use SAP on a daily basis to plan work and to deputise for our Scheduler during
holiday’s and sickness cover and also for the Purchasing of equipment.

I was responsible for the layout, surveying and installation of Tube Bundles, Heat Exchangers,
Reformers (along with associated catalyst tubing), Pumps, Turbines and Cooling Fans; in
addition, hydrostatic testing of the pipework before commissioning.
Fabricom Suez:
Little-Brook Power Station Outage, Essex
My principle role was to train and instruct the Fabricom Personnel (including supervision) in the
strip down, overhaul and principles of operation of these units.
Centrica: Mechanical Technician
I had an active role in Reactive and Proactive maintenance alongside the three existing shift
teams. I was involved in the stripping down and overhaul of tube bundles and subsequent
hydrostatic test and drop testing.
Weir Turbo Machinery: Mechanical Technician
Based on TOTAL OIL Pembroke for the outage, my role was to completely overhaul the Dresser
Rand compressors on time and following all standards and safety legislation.
Aker Kvaerner: Mechanical Technician
I worked on various plants including Conoco Phillips and Total Lindsey Oil Refinery. My main
duties included pump Laser Alignments, Heat Exchanger overhauls and subsequent Hydrostatic
testing.
Fabricom:CONOCO REFINERY IMMINGHAM Mechanical Technician
Mainly Pump Alignment and Tube Bundle O’H and testing
Bayes Engineering: Mechanical Technician
I worked alongside a Siemens engineer on a 10MW Siemens steam turbine on a complete
overhaul, rebuild and alignment. I later transferred to LINPAC were I worked with conveyor belts
and their alignment and fault finding on their pneumatic systems.
