This document provides an overview of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and spatial computing technologies like Magic Leap and Microsoft HoloLens. It explains that Magic Leap uses lightfield photonics to generate digital light that blends seamlessly with natural light, allowing digital objects to coexist realistically in the physical world. Examples are given of how Magic Leap could be used for education, such as a professor giving a virtual guest lecture or students interacting with shared learning experiences. The document also briefly outlines the development of Magic Leap's technology over time and key features of the Magic Leap One system.

5. âMagic Leapsâ lightďŹeld photonics generate digital light at diďŹerent depths and blend seamlessly
with natural light to produce lifelike digital objects that coexist in the real world. This advanced
technology allows our brain to naturally process digital objects the same way we do real-world
objects, making it comfortable to use for long periods of time. VR, 3D movies, and more are ďŹat
and trick our brains into seeing 3D, which is unnatural and uncomfortable.â
