My working career and knowledge has always been in transport/ logistics & haulage.
I have extensive knowledge of managing the receipt and delivery of a varied range of
products to a wide range of customers, in the correct manor, with correct documentation
and transport specifications.
I presently work as a route planner/office administrator/warehouse shift supervisor for a
transport company ensuring all relevant documentation and freight is received unloaded,
routed, loaded, and delivered in a safe and timely manner.
In my previous position as ‘Operations Supervisor’ I was responsible for the day to day
running of a Regional Freight Depot with a staff of 14-20 in my charge, accountable to the
Depot Manager. I oversaw all goods inwards and outwards ensuring all freight was scanned
in and documented and updated on to our system to facilitate daily reports and
delivery/collection sheets I also prepared KPI’S for our key account customers, and met with
same to resolve any issues that may have arisen.
I acted as a floating Manager covering holidays/sickness for 5 depot Managers in the
Western Region between 2008/2010.

3. Work Experience
Barry Express Feb2014-Present
Position: Route planner/Office Administrator/Shift Supervisor
Duties: Organise daily runs for fleet covering nth east, east, midlands,
Nth west, & west of Ireland, I am also responsible for accurate
receiving, recording, storage, and despatch of customer goods stored
in our logistics depot, I also supervise the loading/unloading of same

Position: Warehouse/Operations Supervisor
Duties: With a team leader and 2 full time warehouse staff, 1 customer
services person and 10 drivers which acted as sorters on the AM shift,
I was responsible for, Unloading Trailers, Checking, Scanning and
sorting freight inbound
Printing all documentation and routing, Vehicle loading and
despatching Drivers expediently
Consignment updating on in-house system

Audits regarding manual handling/ forklift training for staff, and staff
compliance with wearing provided PPE, and preventative

Although logistics was not a major activity for regional depots I was
responsible for the safe storage/recording, and on time deployment

were held in depots

specific deliveries
