• Supervise the operation,repairandmaintenanceof all equipmentinvolvedwithameatprocessing
facility,toinclude all ammoniaequipment,compressedair,dehumidificationequipment,steam, cooling
systems,airandwater filters,plumbing,heatexchangers,watertreatment,heaters,level controlsand
watersystems.
• Performtroubleshootingandrepairelectrical systems,electricalcontrols,electricmotors,pumps,
gearboxes,blowers/fans.
• Resolve equipmentmalfunctionsbyevaluatingperformancebreakdowns,identifyingthe rootcause,
safelyrepairingthe equipment,andtakingactionstopreventrecurringfailures.
• Select,train,coachmaintenance employeesandevaluate performance againstperformance
requirements.
• Assignemployeestodailytasksof maintainingthe facilityandproductionequipmentviaworkorders
and follow-upasrequired.
• Assuresall productionschedulesare metandresolved,assignedemployeestodailytasksof
maintainingthe facility/productionworkandpreventative maintenance are completedinatimely
manner.Checkcritical plantequipmentdaily.
• Manage the utilizationandoperationof the CMMS systemtoinclude MRO/Inventoryfunctions.
• Coordinate workwithproductiontominimize outages.Mustanticipate plantprioritiesassituations
arise.
• Make recommendationsforcapital improvementsandchangestoenhance productionand
maintainabilityof the facilityandequipment.Maintainawarenessof employee’sconcerns.
• Promote goodhousekeepinginthe maintenance areasandgeneral facility.Ensure all assignedwork
and preventative maintenance tasksare completedinatimelymanner.
• Must be able to documentall appropriate recordsandsubmittalstomeetrequirementssetforthby
OSHA,EPA,USDA and plantmanagement.
