ThirdChannel has had the privilege of having Blair McDermett as a Retail Intelligence Agent
representing GoPro from August 1, 2015 to the present. I am more than happy to complete
this letter of recommendation to sum up her efforts.
ThirdChannel, the retail intelligence network, matches college students to top consumer
brands, and equips them to act as a brands’ exclusive retail intelligence agent. For the GoPro
program, agents are required to take ownership of a territory surrounding their residence
and service National Account retail stores. Over the course of her work, Blair has built,
maintained, and strengthened professional relationships with management at various
Academy Sports & Outdoor, Bass Pro Shops, Dick’s Sporting Goods, REI, The Sports Authority, and
Cabela’s in the Houston region.
Time management is a skill our agents must perfect as they balance other commitments,
extra curricular activities and their independent work schedule. Agents document the status
of those doors as it pertains to inventory levels, marketing materials and the representation
of GoPro products and fixtures on a monthly basis. Utilizing the ThirdChannel cloud-based
technology, they report their findings through their mobile devices and report back to the
GoPro Field Marketing Team, Retail Accounts Team, and other key decision makers at GoPro,
as well as myself. Our goal is to help young professionals gain the skills they need to be
successful in today's increasingly competitive job market.
Blair has been an ideal candidate due to her strength in communication skills, commitment
to performing her work to the best of her abilities, and dedication to learning more. I have
received positive feedback from many of her regional store managers as well as the GoPro
Field Program Lead of the US, Trevor Gamble whom all felt Blair’s presence in stores has
benefited their business. She has displayed the ability to learn new and complex technology
and product features as part of her regular duties, and was enthusiastic to take on more
work when required.
