Remedial curriculum. My niecesin Winchester and Reading public schoolsare covering far more advanced materialsin the same grade.

Thisisan excellent school and I just wish, my child could stay there longer. My daughter just finished Kindergarten there, but due to moving out of state she
could not stay. MrsMullen and MrsWhite did an absolutely superb job with my daughter'sclass. She can not stop talking about them and imitating them.
Principal wasasinvolved and assupportive asit gets. At any meetings, you could see howdevoted all of them are and resultswith kidswere more than obvious.

Generally speaking, we are pleased with the school. However, teachersmust be more proactive identifying areasof learning difficultiesin order to create a plan
with the parentsand school department. It ismy opinion that some teachersmight be intimidated by the idea of becoming a stronger advocate for the student.
Asparents, we knowwe are their greatest advocate. However, we are on the outside and need the level of advocacy on the inside to improve. The newprincipal
hasdone a nice job becoming more involved with the students, but the honeymoon isover...

Asthe year 200 comesto an end i could not have been more pleased. My fifth grader will leave Roosevelt ready for middle school asshe wasallowed some
independance thisyear at the same time waschallenged academically by a young enthusiastic teacher. The newprincipal hasalso forged on with newthinking
and newideas. Very happy with thisschool.

My daughter hasbeen in thisschool since First Grade (and isnowstarting Fourth). She hasloved it. I have liked all of her teachersa great deal. My only
complaint waswith the prior administration but we have someone newthisyear who looksto be an excellent addition. I am hopeful our newprincipal will only
add to the positives. My only request for thisschool would be to have all of the classespost homeworkonline (I understand only a fewcommit to thispractice).
There should be a school-wide practice to encouraging the parentsto viewand take a more proactive roll with the homework.

I feel that the morale at the school isso-so from the top on down. The education my children have gotten isokay, nothing to rave about. There isgoing to be a
change in leadership in the 2008-2009 school year. Let'shope the enthusiasm and motivation of the staff improves.

The Roosevelt school staff isthe best in the city. They Principal ismotivated and involved with all the children. I appreciate the professional staff and knowthat
decisionsbeing made are with the child'sbest interest at heart. The PTO isinviting and welcoming to all parents.
