The goal of our Early Childhood
Ministry is to share Christ with your
child and to provide a loving
environment in which your child can
learn and grow. Each year is a
developmental step, building on age-
appropriate content goals and skills.
Wonder... Children are natural
investigators. We encourage them to
use the five senses with which God has
blessed them to explore the world
around them. Our lead teachers hold
degrees in education and develop
classroom experiences including guided
play, Jesus time, circle time lessons,
individualized instruction, sensory table
activities, and free time to just be kids
and play with their friends!

program is helping children learn
HOW to learn! Parents are an
important part of the educational
journey. Weekly notes that state
learning goals are sent home so
parents can partner in learning
activities.
Know... Block by block, children
construct their knowledge and add to
it each day. Opportunities to share
their skills are provided to promote
self-esteem and practice success!

LET’S GET STARTED: CHILDREN’S DAY OUT AGE 2-3
!
LET’S KEEP GROWING: PRESCHOOL AGE 3-4 AND PRE-K AGE 4-5
!
Children’s Day Out: This is the age where children really benefit from being around other children. They absorb so much from
watching what others are doing (parallel play) and trying out new experiences through guided play. This stimulates their development of
interactive play and social skills which in turn helps them learn to develop friendships and sets a foundation for structured learning later
in school. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend - diapers are
welcome!
Preschool: Preschoolers are active learners! They have perfected many
motor skills and love to use them! Socially they are learning to identify their
individual wants and needs, and begin interacting with playmates that share
interests. While each child is cherished as an individual we challenge them to
grow in self-control and relating to the needs of others. They are lovingly
guided in their relationship with Jesus and how to help others in service to
Him.
Pre-Kindergarten: What a joy it is to see “light bulbs flash” in a child’s eyes as they grasp a new concept or conquer a new skill!
This is a wonderful time to guide them through the routines of school and emphasize the importance of respecting one another and the
things around them in God’s creation! Concepts are introduced to promote higher level thinking skills and lay the foundation for
elementary school.
