When you open Microsoft Word you are presented a screen where on the left panel you can access pre-
existing documents or with the right side panel you can create a new document. Creating a new document,
you have the option of creating a ‘BLANK’ document or you can use one of the very helpful templates,
depending on the type of document you wish to create.

Maybe reference the thesaurus to
find a better word. This is the last
chance to make your document the
best it can be.
This is where you can check out your
document to see what it will look like
when presented to it’s audience.
21. IN CLOSING
Microsoft Word is perhaps used more than any other Microsoft Office program. If you are in ANY office
setting, it’s possible you will never have to use EXCEL, POWERPOINT or ACCESS, depending on your job.
Microsoft Word however, is used by just about everyone. It’s no longer just a word processor replacement. I
have just scratched the surface of what you can do with Microsoft Word, to make you document the best
document it can be.
