necessities of our daily life.
Our earth is covered by water.
About 71% of the earth’s surface is
Covered with water.

and ponds seep through the soil
and fills the empty spaces and
cracks below the ground is called
the groundwater.
4. Water is important in our life.
Water is used for many purposes
such as drinking, washing, bathing,
watering plants etc.
5. Some of the factors which deplete the water table at a
place and make it go down are : -
1) Increase in Population
2) Increase in Industries
3) Increase in Agricultural Activities
4) Deforestation
5) Decrease in the Effective Area for Seepage of Water
6) Scanty rainfall

World Water Day. We celebrate this day
To attract the attention of everybody
towards the importance of conserving
water. On this day people save water for
future generations.

management of water are –
1) Rainwater Harvesting
2) Prevention of Wastage of Water
3) Reuse of Water
4) Revival of Bawris/Step Well
5) Drip Irrigation
6) Construction of Dams
8. We can conserve water by following steps :-
1) We should avoid brushing teeth, washing
hands with running water tap.
2) We should collect rainwater in drums
and use it to water our plants.
3) We should use a bucket and a mug instead of
using a shower for a bath.
