1. In the video Marina shows a variety of characters but only one
which really portrays who she is, the video presents characters
which hide who she really is, which indicates a message that
Marina is a “No-One” or that she just wants to “Blend In” or it could
just state the obvious that she can be whoever she wants to be
and its not a robot.
2. In part of the song with the lyrics “ I’m vulnerable” the artist
portrays a facial expression of pain and exhaustion which
represents vulnerability.
3. Marina performs certain actions which go at the same time as the
beat and also the cuts match the beats.
4. The video has no use of CGI, the only techniques use is the
reversing clip, where the video follows marina smudging her face
paint to its perfect, which is the opposite to how it was filmed.
5. The use of costume and make up and hair was used a lot, the
difference with this video was that everything was practical and
involved just the one person, Marina.

1. Ke$ha is resented very casual and feminine by wearing a cream
loose crop top and shorts with cow boy boots.

effective which keeps the audiences attention.

4. The video shows Ke$ha with a male companion showing a story.
Also Ke$ha is seen wearing glow in the dark paint which is rarely
used in music videos which makes this video so unique and
effective. Cartoon drawings are included on the video which
makes it unique and more effective.

1. Beyonce is presented quite masculine however looks feminine
with the figure hugging costumes worn throughout the video.
2. The lyrics “falling” in the music are presented/ acted by Beyonce in
the video with a facial expression showing fear.
3. The cuts change exactly on the beat this captures the audience
attention because the cuts and transitions are so effective to
watch.
4. Beyonce stands in front of a green screen where in the video the
colour of the background continuously changes along with her
costume which makes the video more creative (in such a simple
form) and makes it exciting to watch.
5. The video shows Beyonce wearing many different costumes,
make-up and different hairstyles which helps to portray different
settings and also time settings i.e. 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

1. Jessie J is presented slightly outrageous and odd with the unique
choice of clothing, (Batwing arms and masks)

also dances throughout the video.

1. In the video Katy Perry is portrayed as young, casual and normal
(avoiding the celebrity OTT look)
2. In the video the story shown is youngsters having fun at a party
and 2 characters in love, the artist, Katy Perry performs the lyrics
like she means it which makes the video believable and more
serious.

beat.
4. The music video tells a story of a female and male in love reliving
their teenage years.
